Coastal Living

Hello from my new Linden Home! I am in love with the sweet little Alderley Traditional Linden Home. This home has a small footprint and not many rooms to decorate, cos I don’t have that many prims!

I decided I wanted a pastel cottage for this coastal home, and the only way to achieve that is with a shell or an add-on. I found this great Alderley Tudor Cottage Add On from BH&G, which includes a shell, porch, pergola, interior wall partition, and decor! You can use the whole package and have an instantly beautiful home, or mod it to reduce land impact.

I colored the shell a sweet pastel blue, and removed the brick path and plants, to give my home a customized look. It’s adorable! I’ve always wished the Linden Homes came in softer colors, but I don’t use shells because I just can’t spare the extra prims. This add-on, if you use all of the items, are 77 land impact total.

I’m still working on this home, but so far, it is shaping up to be the most darling little coastal cottage.

Do you use add-ons on your Linden Home? Let me know in the comments!

My first Belli home was a Traditional, which I used an add-on for. After seeing the previews for the Stilt homes, I gave it up in preparation for a Stilt. So then I missed having a Belli home and grabbed a log home to decorate for Halloween. I gave that one up on the day after Halloween, but was curious as to how fast it would be grabbed, so I kept hitting the refresh button. Suddenly a houseboat showed up and I thought “Why not?”. I never wanted a houseboat when they were first released, but I really love this! I am using the Barnacle and it is surprisingly roomy. There are add-ons for it, including one by the same maker as yours, but as yet I’m not feeling the need to ‘expand’. It has always been important for me to be next to the water in SL. Since I am now ON the water, a Stilt home is no longer a priority.
