I’m currently embracing my Victorian era aesthetic. The Rejoice dress by Toksik is absolutely stunning! I’m on the lookout for more intricate outfits in Second Life that offer built-in layers and customizable options, as casual wear has become quite mundane. My avatar resides in the Victorian town of Aurelias, and to blend in, I chose a color palette of navy, black, and a touch of baby blue for my outfit. I opted for the fatpack of this outfit, so expect to see me in various shades of pastels and whites in the future.

I was genuinely upset when Toksik closed their Flickr account. I have a preference for following all my favorite brands on a single platform, and Flickr is it. I’m reluctant to follow brands on other social platforms like Facebook, Tumblr, or Instagram as they don’t serve my purpose for brand engagement or building a shopping list. Flickr is crucial for connecting with brands, especially for someone like me who blogs about their outfits, promoting them in the process. It would be beneficial for Toksik to consider returning to Flickr, as numerous brands that have left tend to return upon realizing the adverse impact on their customer base. Flickr maintains a robust presence within the Second Life community, notably among bloggers and photographers who help drive sales.

Returning to the topic of the Toksik dress, it’s a piece I adore so much that I even purchased the matching hat. Although the hat doesn’t quite fit with this particular hairstyle, it’s not noticeable from the front. This brings me to a need for hair designers to consider offering modifiable hairstyles or explicitly designed to accommodate hats. It’s time to bring more versatility to hair accessories.

I went to the Amitomo store recently because they were in a weekend sale, and ended up picking up a few new hairstyles. I’m a fan of Amitomo, although they haven’t updated their designs for the Maitreya body, regular or X versions, which has led to me sidelining many outfits to my “Old body” wardrobe folder. It’s disappointing, as Amitomo’s designs remain compelling, despite their tendency to incorporate non-removable hands in their clothing, which has been a common grievance among customers.

Finally, I must mention the Angie boots from Zenith. To make these boots fit, I switched back to the v5.3 Maitreya body, turned on the alpha on most of my upper body to wear the LaraX dress, and adjusted my avatar’s muscle slider to make sure the areas that I couldn’t alpha perfectly fits better. Despite these adjustments, everything aligned perfectly in the end, making this outfit one of my new default for when I go out in public.
