Head over to Altair! This limited edition Morgana Dress, available for only L$99 during K9 Weekend, is a must-have. It’s available for LaraX, so I rushed to buy it. I adore short frilly dresses, and the holographic texture on this one is simply stunning.
SEmotion Libellune creates the most charming holdable animated animals. This Tiny Kitten is absolutely adorable! It is offered in a gacha style, but if you manage to obtain the rare HUD, you can use the animations and accessories with any of the common kittens as well.

Happy Holidays! We’re now headed into the slew of special days to finish up the year. I wish you an awesome journey through this season, no matter what you’re doing or celebrating.
For some of us, we’re going to find ourselves in a stressful situation somehow. Maybe you’re interacting with family you don’t want to deal with. Maybe you have no family to interact with or you are sorely missing someone. I’ll list a few pointers and articles to help you out if you’re that someone.
Remember you are fully able to excuse yourself or turn down invitations to deal with family who is toxic. Don’t put yourself through that, and don’t let that person guilt you into dealing with them if you don’t want to. Lie if you need to stay away from them. It’s not a sin to put your mental health first.
If someone veers into politics over dinner and you know it’s going to get ugly, assert that you don’t want to talk about it because you just want to enjoy holiday vibes. Tell that person they can call or email you another day if they really want to get your opinion on current happenings.
Too many people? Step outside for a moment, breathe some fresh air, or take a short walk. Reassure concerned family that you’re just wanting to enjoy the weather as a part of the day.
Know your alcohol limit! A party can be great but if alcohol tends to get the family into unhappy debates, sit it out or dip early. Practice the art of having “just enough” where you don’t veer into stomachaches or become disagreeable.
If you’re alone for the holiday and feeling the blues, treat yourself if you can. Do not blame yourself for being alone. It happens to everyone! If you feel super down and want to cheer yourself up, find something to donate and visit a soup kitchen on Thanksgiving. Also, avoid listening to sad songs and don’t drink too much if you know it’ll encourage depression. Put on your favorite movie or find one on Youtube to make you laugh. Or just laugh at the misery of everyone else who is stuck in the cold right now. That’s not you!
Actually no matter who you are, you should treat yourself during holidays anyway. You deserve it.
Create your own holiday celebrations with friends in the grid if you need to. Family’s one thing, but friends? The ones who mean a lot to you? That time spent with them can do you a world of emotional good, even if you’re sitting around a pixel table.
Got any more tips? Leave them in the comments!

It’s Galentine’s Day, and two of my favorite girls in Second Life just released the cutest stuff. The kind of things you gift to yourself and conveniently “accidentally” buy for your friends too.
First up is the Versailles Love Cup from Flair, which is definitely Gogo-approved. I love holdables, and I love them even more when there are options so I can match it to my outfit.
Sparkle Skye also just released the Fiona Collection for Gacha Arcana, so if gacha’s your thing, go play. The best part is you can mix and match all the pieces, which is dangerous for me because I’ll absolutely convince myself I need every variation.
I’m currently obsessed with the Fiona ring, which is a Vault item, but don’t ask me to explain how to play Gacha Arcana because I genuinely don’t know. Sparkle tried to explain it to me, and I nodded like I understood, but I wasn’t retaining any of it. I think it has something to do with getting rewarded for playing a lot. That’s all I’ve got.
After I put together today’s outfit, I realized it was giving equestrian vibe. Which is funny because I don’t plan outfits based on themes. I wear things based on whatever pops up on my radar.
Like this Stella top from Tres Blah, which popped up again because it’s on sale. I already owned it, so I just grabbed a redelivery for LaraX and suddenly it felt like I bought something new without spending money. I love when brands update older items for previous customers. It’s one of the few things in SL that still feels genuinely nice.
This new hat hairstyle is from Wings, and you can customize the logo area with your own text. I made it my name because the template was easy to use with clear instructions. I normally don’t customize anything because I’m lazy, but this one was worth the effort.
While Gacha Arcana from MadPea is fresh on my mind, I want to say something as a resident and customer. I think there are way too many events in Second Life, and I’m saying that as someone whose main hobby in SL is literally shopping.
Even I only go to maybe one or two events a week, and when I go, I mean I teleport in, hit the brands I already know, buy what I came for, and leave. I’m not wandering. I’m not browsing. I’m in and out.
Meanwhile, every month, I watch event companies create even more events, and all it does is spread the same sales thinner and thinner for everyone.
And to be clear, I’m not personally calling out Gacha Arcana here. This applies to pretty much every event company over the past year that has not only created more monthly events on top of their existing ones, but also added marketplace counterparts, weekend sales counterparts, one-off holiday events, and even brought gacha back into the mix. At some point, all of this stops helping creators and starts hurting them.
Recently I heard that some creators participating in Gacha Arcana noticed the low traffic and lack of sales, so they brought it up with the organizer. The organizer blamed it on the real life economy affecting sales in SL. And yes, that’s true. The economy is weird right now. People are cautious. Disposable income is tighter.
But event organizers in SL also need to take some responsibility for the mess they’ve helped create. When you keep stacking events on top of events, you create an economic downward spiral. The user base isn’t big enough to support an endless stream of new events popping up just because organizers want to squeeze even more event fees out of creators for their own benefit.
I think my friend Wilma is addicted to T Junction t-shirts. She sent me another one last week with this quote on it, “I am the bitch you love to hate.” I don’t normally wear tacky shirts irl but I love this one in SL.
In SL, somebody somewhere thinks I’m a bitch. It doesn’t bother me at all, cos they probably deserved the Gogo bitch wrath 😛
Oh also, I bought the best dollarbie handbag this morning from JE*Republic. The La vie est belle bag (Valentine) edition is $1L and it’s glittery and sparkly and awesome.
What I’m Wearing:
LeLutka – IFElight-Haiti(D Brows)
Exile – Gossip Girl (Harlow)
T Junction – I’m the bitch… t-shirt
Zaara -Ishaya Velour Slacks (Beige) part of RFL special outfit
JE*REPUBLIC – La vie est belle bag (Valentine)
Ingenue – Lithium::Crimson&Snow pumps
Erik Hugo of Hugo’s Designs is the best in latex, in my opinion. All of his items are well done and has just the right amount of transparency. Shown here is the Juna dress, which someone pointed out to me looks more like a shirt 😛 But I love it because it’s short! If latex is your thing, Hugo’s Design is highly recommended by me. Even if latex isn’t your thing, give it a chance? Variety is the spice of life!
I’m back to show you a recent release by Utilizator that’s made my day–the Venus Anime Mesh Head! Although I loved the anime head I was wearing previously, it made my av look a bit young… this one makes me look like a young woman. Plus, it’s incredibly customizable just like the last one.
I like this avatar so much that I think I’m going to ditch the default SL one, except in the case of creating makeup and nails for it. But before you do that to yours, check out my caveat about what mesh body you pick to match this awesome head.
NOTE: I’m wearing custom textures with this head!
The Head
The Venus mesh head is 500L and is tintable, comes with its own set of eyes, and expressions so you can customize yours. The marketplace also has custom textures you can apply to your head so you can stand apart even further. Even if you buy a custom head texture, you can also purchase eyebrow and eyelash textures from other designers. That way, you can mix and match looks even further. Check out this blog post to see a few examples of custom head textures released so far!
Picking A Body
Most of you might just purchase the Venus head and pair it with the default SL body or a mesh body you’ve purchased already. However, if you’re someone considering wearing what I’m wearing in the above picture, you’ll need to read on.
If you want a mesh body from the same creator of this mesh head, but you want to still be able to wear most of your SL clothing, get the Avatar 2.0 body. It doesn’t have a lot of boob sizes, but it matches the mesh head a lot better and comes with its default skin tones already.
However, I like the wasp-waist the body I’m wearing comes with… which is the Kemono mesh body. It’s wonderfully curvy but you’ll need to buy separate chest parts for it if you don’t want a flat one. It can wear less SL clothing than the 2.0 body, but it’s way cuter. For boobs, people either seem to buy this set or this set (but I got this set).
Demo all the extra parts before buying, you might not like them!
Cannibal Island, where I took photos today. Here it is at night.
Dressing Up The Kemono Avatar
After this, you’re wondering: what about clothing for the Kemono body?
First things first: Kemono is very turtleneck and fluffy-skirt friendly. Some of what you have in your inventory will fit your new avatar already. I’m able to, for example, wear a lot of puffy skirts from Tres Blah with ease. As far as mesh sizing goes, it fits a little smaller than size XXS. Clothing stores that have these sizes in mind will be your best friend.
For jeans, bell bottom or loose-cut jeans will work. I went digging in my invy and found some Maitreya jeans that fit my av perfectly! It helps cut back on spending so you can get others things that are specifically created for the Kemono.
After you find some mesh clothing you already have that fits, here are some clothing made specifically for the Kemono that I recommend:
There’s a lot more out there, but these items will get you started! Whatever you pick, demo everything to make sure you’re happy with it. You don’t want to spend a million Lindens trying to get what you want.
For hair? I personally like Exile, Alice Project, Chemistry, and Lamb for hair choices with the Venus. We’re all different, though, so look around to see what fits your av’s personality!
Also! If you were looking for the rest of my super-bright art collection? They are now all on the grid here. You can now buy the whole set!
Cannibal Island has its own weather season. When I took this picture, a tornado had just disappeared. The waves are wonderfully laid-out to feel natural; obviously, the owner is very passionate about water.
What I’m Wearing:
Flowers: Boom – Nature’s Crown (Dark Pink)
Hair: Alice Project – Mary (manually tinted)
Top: Puppy – Ruffled Corset Top
Skirt: ABC Denim Skirt
Shoes: Rei’s Stuff – Heels for Kemono Human Feet
Necklace: Yummy – Miss Havisham’s Broken Heart
Earrings: Maxi Gossamer – Widdershins (Cross And Skulls)
Change of plans! Today I've left Juicy and I'm going to the SL Wall of China! I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Wall of China is located only 2 sims below Juicy!! I am surrounded by greatness 😀 The photographs were snapped at the Mao and Sichuan sims.
I've decided to wear the gorgeous new release from Sweetest Goodbye, a Kimono-style dress called 'Tonight' in Red and Pink. The texturing and sculpties on this outfit is superb and totally adds nice curves to the skirt shape.
The sims and this outfit would make a really great machinima! I'll definitely try it when I have more inspiration.
