Capturing a photo “in the dark” can indeed be a challenge. You aim for that perfect dim ambiance while still ensuring the products are visible. I absolutely adore this blindfold I purchased from Tentacio. This brand is known for creating unique products, often adorned with floral accents.

It’s still January, so I can say “new year, new face!” I haven’t switched to a new mesh head, as I still adore Lelutka’s Billie Mesh head. However, I have decided to break away from the skin I’ve been wearing since November (which isn’t a long time) and try another brand. This is the Zoe skin from Avarosa. I think I will wear this skin for a while; it’s very cute with some tattoo enhancements.
I added plenty of extra face highlights to the skin from Izzie’s and Glam Affair. Glam Affair includes face gloss and face shine layers with some of their skins, which I add when I want some additional highlights.
I demo skins every single week, always open to changing my face if I find something I like better. It frustrates me that most skin brands do not offer a browless version for demo. Dear skin designers, I do not like thick brows. Sometimes I can imagine the skin without the default brows, other times I simply move on without purchasing.
If you want to wear this Avarosa skin and get a good match with Velour body skins, just disregard the skin tone name and judge the tone with your eyes. I am wearing the Velour body skin in Valley tone, while this head skin is in Snow tone. I also wore the Velour neck fix and tinted it to match.
Still feeling the sparkly new year vibes, I decided to don this Holiday Gown from Werx. I rarely find full PBR clothing appealing, but I thought the texture on this dress was exceptionally well done. It shimmers just the way I like it, and the colors are as expected. I’m ready to party in this dress, although it’s not the type of attire I can wear with underwear; we’ll pretend it’s still classy.
Katat0nik has just released the Snow Bunny Set in 8 yummilicious colors to choose from! If you need something besides red and green to celebrate the winter, this set is adorable and soooo cute. The Snow Bunny Set includes dress, Snow Bunny Skin & Shape, and Scripted Bunny Ears!
As always, Katat0nik’s attention to detail is amazing and all the pieces are layerable so it can be worn together or separately.

I’ve decided to pair this dress with the Bax Coen Black Patent Ankle Boots!! Normally I shy away from extremely spiky heels but these are great.
Yuuuum…!! These boots are definitely made for walking….

Back in April, I became a Premium member for the first time in my 12 years in SL. I landed on a charming little waterfront home and decided to keep it. I knew my luck would not be better if I kept re-rolling for new homes.
Here we are, 3 months later, and so much has changed with how Linden Lab launches new sims. Instead of launching hundreds of sims at once, like they did initially, now only one or two sims are launched every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. At this rate, eventually everyone who wants a home would get a home, but not at a rate that’s fast enough to satisfy them. As you can see by this vent thread on the forum, they are more than a little upset. In fact, if you read the entire Linden Homes forum, it’s so overwhelmingly NEGATIVE.

LeLutka is releasing the Kit skin tomorrow, finally! Although I have been teasing you guys with the Gem skin, Kit will be released before Gem. Kit and Gem are “sisters” so they have very similar features with a few differences. I prefer the brows and nose on Gem, but if you’re a fan of dark brows and that button-nose look, you’ll like Kit more.
It’s too bad Kit/Gem are not being released at the same time, so you can’t really compare ’em yet.
LeLutka Kit comes with 8 makeups, dark hair base version, breast enhancer, and a pair of gorgeous sculpted prim lashes that is scripted to change 6 different color.
If I had a dollar for every time someone asks me about my eyes, I would have a lot of dollars. Seriously. These new LeLutka Ellis eyes are beautiful and so realistic. I am very picky about eyes but I also like to change my color/style often so I’m definitely happy there’s a new set to play with.

Does a store build matter? Absolutely. I don’t really mind if a store is built badly (or no build at all), as long as the vendors can be seen clearly. This was not the case when I went to Filthy Skins a few weeks ago; the store was so blindingly bright and all the interior textures were tinted Blue, so I couldn’t see anything! I ran from the store as fast as I could after grabbing demos and didn’t think about these skins until last night.
After trying on several faces, I settled on this Candy skin. I think it’s lovely, and very “me” except for the Pale tone (worn below) is not really my idea of Pale, but more like a warm Sunkissed tone. Despite being too tan, I still wanted this, and I will try to make it work with Blonde hair, but I must warn you I look a bit like Snooky’s Blonde sister 😀

I love this face! And it’s perfect for Dark Brown hair, but maybe even OK on Blondes.

I’m really glad I gave Filthy Skins another look, cos I think I may have found a new favorite skin store.
Kyoot released the new Last Thread Tanks this weekend and they’re so pretty! I think the cleavage is so sexy, and the loose thread at the bottom of the tank is just a great touch. Howeverrrrr….. the side seams really bugs me! I know Saeya Nyanda can do better seams than this, cos it just feels incomplete to me, to not align it, and also not add side-shading to create a more “finished” look.
I’ve posted an example of what I think is great seams on a striped top from Ingenue. I love how Betty Doyle lined her textures up nearly perfectly, and also added shading along the seams.
For most of us who take photos staring straight ahead, the side seam is rarely ever seen, but what happens when you DO notice it? Designers who take more care into creating nice seams really sets themselves apart from designers who do not.
