LOGO Infinity Sadie Hybrid Mesh Avatar

This is a preview of the LOGO Infinity Sadie Hybrid Mesh Avatar. I don’t usually like to tease, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me cos this face is gorgeous. I’ve anticipated the release of Sadie, ever since I saw the poster at LOGO’s main store. I’m a huge fan of the previous Chloe face, so I gave Max a ton of feature requests/feedback, and he magically incorporated all of them into a brand new HUD!

LOGO Infinity Sadie Hybrid Mesh Avatar

Sadie is a new face, with small pouty lips, more makeup options, more facial expressions, and the ears (3 sets) are now separate attachments.

LOGO Infinity Sadie Hybrid Mesh Avatar

I adore the new slimmer HUD, as shown above. When not in use, the HUD can sit on the side of your SL screen and not take up space. I also like being able to select ALL of my makeups with one single HUD, instead of 3 separate HUDs before. The arrows are for add-ons, so if you buy more makeup options, you can just drag the script into the HUD and it will automatically update.

I will let you know when Sadie is released at the LOGO main store. Are you excited about this new face?

    What I’m Wearing:

Mon Tissu – Ruffled Shell (Solid) Mesh S
Malt – Mesh PennyLane Jeans (S) WornDenim

  • Do you want to be a fashion blogger?

There have been a lot of discussions on the do's and dont's for SL fashion bloggers lately. I've been blogging without a rule book for 2 years now and so far I think I'm doing OK. So here's MY own list of things you should keep in mind, not necessarily have to do, but it will be helpful:

    Helpful hints for fashion bloggers:

    1. Blog what you love

It's ok to blog just items that you love and gush about them. Even if your taste is not the same as everybody else, if YOU love it, it shows and somebody out there might have been looking for that exact item.

    2. Be honest but not mean

Point out flaws but don't go out of your way to criticize. Whenever I see seams or other flaws, I will point them out. Now, if a designer was newer and their seams don't quite line up but the design is cute and was worth the $, I would let it slide! Does that make me a terrible blogger? I always consider the item overall, but there are some things that are unforgivable (like seams on a skin!).

    3. Learn to take good pictures

A picture says a thousand words… bad lighting and a bad pose will
discourage others from buying the items you want to showcase. And you
do want people to buy it right? That's why you're blogging it in the
first place? So read tutorials, ask others for tips, and figure out how
to take nice photos! You don't have to be a Photoshop genius (I'm not),
I just take pictures in-world and crop them using Picnik (the online photo editing service).

    4. Don't start a blog for the "free stuff"

Whatever you do, don't start a blog because you think it will get you
"free stuff", that won't happen. Designers have a sea of bloggers to
choose from, they will most likely send review copies to bloggers they
know will do a good job featuring their products, not just someone who
wants the "free stuff" and disappears in a month or two.

    5. Consider a blogging budget

Even though bloggers are known to receive "review copies", we still have to purchase a lot of items. Many designers do not send out review copies at all, and if you love something and want to feature it, you have to buy it. Consider making a blogging budget (anywhere between $5,000 and $20,000 weekly) and stick to it! Don't feel pressured to buy all the latest, and also make use of good freebies if you want to blog daily but not go into debt! 😛

    6. Be ready for criticism

People who don't blog themselves will tell you that you're not blogging right or how to blog. In most cases, I would say ignore them, but I think that anybody who publishes anything on the internet should be ready to accept both positive and negative feedback. Some of it might be valid, even if it's negative. I find that most of the comments on my website are positive but there are negative comments and I consider them without letting it ruin my day.

    7. Blog for yourself

I can't think of anything else right now but I will end with this really important tip. When you blog for yourself, you'll be a lot happier than keeping up with all the latest trends or letting others dictate how you should blog.

That's all for now! These tips are just basic ones for newer bloggers but they're not set in stone or anything.

  • What a Gracie model really looks like…

Grace Winnfield is currently seeking models to represent her brand, but I kind of laughed at the long list of requirements; one of them being a very specific body size/shape, so I got a few friends together and we turned ourselves into "Gracie models" using the specific guidelines posted on Grace's blog:

    SIZE PREFERENCES FOR GRACIE MODEL:

Go into edit appearance and click body
follow the measures down.. I will highlight and give a range for the important ones:

Height: At least 75 but preferrable is 80-85 or so.

    Body thickness: less than 7
Body fat 0 preferred but no more than 7
Torso Muscles should be less than 40
Shoulders should be proportionate but usually less than 50.
Breast size: LESS THAN 40 PLEASE (mine are around 33)
    Arms
length… you are taller so your arms should be longer… probably
between 60 and 69 and finger tips reach just around or above your mid
    thigh. Mine are at 67

torso length… we dont need long torsos so less than 55 but not too short so shorter than 44
    Love handles…. between 15 and 20
not too muscular please … less than 47 but we need some tone so more than 40
leg length.. LONG!! somewhere between 80 and 95 is usually good… mine are 89.
HIP WIDTH: NO more than 48!!!!!!!!!!! ( remember i use a lot of system skirts)
Hip length shouldnt be very long.. keep it less than 37 please.
Butt size less than 30 (ALOT OF SYSTEM SKIRTS SO SMALL IS GOOD)
    Saddle bags less than 25
foot size 0 so that all shoes will work.

    Save this as Grace shape.

Here is a snapshot of us with our new "Gracie" body upgrades:

    Kavar, me, Brandy

Here's a picture of my regular body shape next to Gracified Kavar & Brandy:

Gogo is not a BIG avatar, but I felt thick (and short) standing next to Grace's body shape.

Kavar (girl version), me, Brandy in our regular sizes.

I guess we're not qualified to be Gracie models, but I will keep my boobs and ass, thank you very much.

If you have made your own Gracified shape and want to share, let me know! I'll post it all below:

    Ryker Beck vs. Gracified Ryker

    Cyclic Gearz vs. Gracified Cyclic

    Ravyn Hynes vs. Gracified Ravyn

    Kitty Lalonde vs. Gracified Kitty

Disclaimer: This entry is NOT to poke fun at thin avatars.

    A lil denim

    Fishy Strawberry

Only one picture for today’s post cos I installed the latest Second Life 2.6.3.227447 and it crashes unexpectedly all the time!! I’m also using the Silver Pink Starlight skin with this viewer, so I don’t know if it’s Second Life crashing me, or Starlight. Have you noticed that LL implemented avatar physics in the newest official viewer? YEP! It’s heeeeeeeeere!

If you purchased a free copy of my Avatar Physics from Marketplace and it doesn’t “work”, I think it’s cos SL has been resetting the Breast Bounce > Max Effect setting! For a lil bounce, set it to 25 and for max bounce, set it to 65 or higher.

Anyways, I am wearing new Maitreya Lara II hair (check out the new glossy hair texture, so amazing), Fishy Strawberry Denim dress, and SLink Cassia Sandals. <3

    What I’m Wearing:

Laqroki – Linnea (Fair) Light Brows – 01
    Maitreya – Lara II (Almond)
Fishy Strawberry – Denim Dress (Wash A)
    SLink – Cassia Sandals (Cream)

    Minute Makeover: Sexy Geeky Chic-y

    Minute Makeover

There’s several different options for wearing teeth in SL. The most simple is wearing a lipstick tattoo layer with teeth (open mouth) drawn onto it. I’ve also worn just the teeth tattoo layer, alpha cut out with prim teeth attachment, and finally, the most complex is wearing sculpted prim teeth.

I love dressing up a plain Base skin with additional tattoo layers, but you can follow this tutorial using a skin with as much or as little makeup as you’d like.

    Minute Makeover

    1. LeLutka – Gem/GOLDEN-Base/DBrows | 2. Tuli – Eyeliner 5 (buy it from Marketplace)

You could skip step 2 and 3 and go straight to step 4 if you’re already wearing a skin with makeup.

    Minute Makeover

    3. Makeup1 eyeshadow (included with Lara Hurley Skins “Ava” pack) | Glamorize – Glimpse Lips2 (Gentle Red)

I like the  Glamorize – Glimpse Lips2 (Gentle Red) lipstick tattoo layer cos it fits most of my skins and also has nice teeth drawn onto it. Any brand that you like would work for step 4.

After adding a tattoo lipstick layer, don’t forget to adjust your lips! In some very rare instances, the lips may not need adjusting, but I’ve always had to tweak mine by fixing the lips ratio and other mouth tweaks until it looks natural to me. A new lipstick tattoo layer should be treated like a new skin, so tweak, tweak, tweak and save the new shape.

    Minute Makeover

Add a pair of glasses and you’ve got a sexy geeky chic-y! 🙂

    Makeup worn:

Tuli – Eyeliner 5 (buy it from Marketplace)
Makeup1 eyeshadow (included with Lara Hurley Skins “Ava” pack)
Glamorize – Glimpse Lips2 (Gentle Red)
    & Gos – Cateye (Black)
Ingenue – Every Saturday Tee (Grass)
    Maitreya – Nadja (Platinum)

  1. Wow. L$1500 is beyond my budget for something that people won’t see (how many people do you know who focus that closely on people’s faces?). As I said in the comments on the 2k skin post, I don’t stare at my own face that closely, and I know others don’t stare at my face like that either. LOL

It’s fun when we have money to splurge on stuff in SL, but that’s just too much for me.

  2. I do like the void lashes, however my budget is NOT set up to spend 1500 on lashes alone. I did get the Clover lashes at a much, much cheaper price and have found plenty of appiers cheap. I love them!
