Sunshine
In my Stilt Linden Home

Hello from my Linden Home! By April of this year, it will have been 4 years since I claimed my first Linden Home. Time goes by quickly! I’ve been thinking a lot about my Linden Homes, including how much I’m spending on my region. I won’t say how many Linden Homes I had at my peak, but I have four of them now. I’ve given up homes in the same theme in the past month and decided to just keep one with any theme I like. I’m still trying to leave even more, and unless the next theme interests me, I’ll probably end up with just three homes. Like everyone else, I’m still waiting for those 2048 Linden Homes.

Since the Concierge Linden Home service for Premium Plus came out, people have asked me to leave my homes so they can ticket for it. Sorry, but that’s not how it works. Abandoned homes go into a queue for anybody to get from the Land Page on the Second Life website. I’ve always thought the ticketing process was highly inefficient and there has to be a more instant solution. Even if I wanted to abandon a house for someone to use their Premium Plus to claim, they can’t without risking the house being taken by other residents.

New Second Life Membership Plans

Second Life just announced a new membership plan called Plus, which gives residents the right to own mainland and that’s it. Is it worth the money? I compare these new plans by only looking at the benefits that interest me, such as the land allowance, the stipend, and the perks that come with linden homes. I was shocked to find out that the Plus plan does not include a linden home, and the price is nearly equal to the Premium plan.

Bellisseria Trick or Treat 2022!

Bellisseria Trick-or-Treat 2022!
Trick or Treating with friends – Caroline, me, Hedy, Greg, and Fay!

It feels so good to finally get into the Top 10 in the Bellisseria Trick or Treat event! Last year, I came in Top 35, but I thought that if I had just gotten a few more candies, I would have been in the Top 10. So, my goal for this year was to try to collect all of the candies by going to all of the homes. I got 283 candies on the first day, and by day 7, I had 771. I found out that some of the top 10 winners only had 700 candies, so I could have stopped looking last week. I didn’t want to lose again, so I kept looking and looking until the very last hours last night! In the end, I had hundreds more than I needed to win but I still wasn’t sure I had won until Derrick Linden sent me the bears! <3

Submit a ticket for a Linden Home!

My New Linden Home
Photo taken with JuicyBomb – Right Water EEP Settings (modified Better Day)

Look at this sweet new Linden Home I got by submitting a ticket! The process is so easy, even though rolling for one is fun too. I’ve acquired some of my favorite homes the regular way, by getting them on the Land Page. One of the perks of a Premium Plus membership is being able to submit a ticket for an available Linden Home. After I got my last Stilt Home, I said I was done. However, I noticed that all these fresh new stilts regions were named yesterday, so I submitted a ticket for one and it was delivered today. Thank you once again, to Whitney Linden! I picked this house because it’s situated on a peninsula and the back deck faces an unblockable ocean view. Pro tip! Avoid any regions that are on void edges, because the chances of them getting blocked are likely.

Coastal Boating Community

Houseboat // Bellisseria

They say you can never go home again, except in Second Life, where you can! In late 2019, I had a houseboat for a short time before moving on to another shiny new theme. On a whim three years later, I rolled the same houseboat again! This time, instead of the Eveningstar, I chose a different model, the Wallower.

My feelings about houseboats have largely remained consistent over the last three years — they were one of my least favorite themes. I don’t have a houseboat very often because I don’t like the colors or the crowded feeling. But every now and then, I come across a location that I find so appealing that I end up staying for a while. This is true of my current houseboat.

You can choose your Linden Home?!

You can choose your Linden Home?!

Have you ever wished that you could select your Linden Home? Many people have asked me how I was able to select my stilt home using the Premium Plus choose your Linden Home concierge service, so I’m here to show you exactly how to do it.

Is your dream home available?

Before you upgrade your account to Premium Plus in order to use this service, make sure you map Bellisseria and create SLurls to available homes. Keep in mind that popular Bellisseria themes are frequently sold out and the homes are instantly available on the Land Page, you won’t be able to file tickets for those homes with any success. Newly released themes are more abundant, so you will have much better luck filing a ticket for a home.

Making Campers Great Again

Spring Break, 2021

I use to think that Campers were the worst theme. They only came with half the prims, half the land, and some random claustrophobic horse trailers. But I’ve recently changed my mind about campers… cos Chalet is now the worst theme. I’ll write about Chalets in another post, so let’s turn our attention back to campers.

Linden Homes, Sparkle Edition

I have some news to share! As some of you may know, I’m a huge Linden Homes enthusiast. I have had one or a few of each theme type. Since Chalet homes have been released, I can finally tell you guys what has been happening with my Linden homes.

Several weeks ago, I noticed random landscaping objects got returned from my homes, followed by a notification email from Linden Lab. I re-read the covenant and found two rules that may have been ‘broken’:

*Objects that extend outside of your parcel can be returned without warning or notice.
*“Off region” decorations extending from your parcel are not allowed.

As far as I know, I have never done off region decorations, so they may have an issue with some things extending SLIGHTLY outside of the parcel boundaries. The object in question was in no way anchored off the lot, just pushed out a bit so it blended better with the surrounding rocks.
