    2026 Halloween Shop & Hop

    It’s that time again! What time is it, you ask? Shop & Hop, Trick or Treat on Bellisseria, and a whole lot of spooky goodies popping up all over Second Life! As a Second Life resident, I feel like I have to wear wings every now and then, so I decided to bring out my favorite Mini Wings from 2AM and pair them with the new Celestine Dress from Dhoma, available at FaMESHed. I love the rich emerald green satin, the corset-inspired bodice with lace-up details, and those gorgeous puff sleeves with delicate lace accents. The short, flouncy skirt gives it a romantic fairy-tale look, but it’s also a little cheeky in the back! Paired with my wings, it’s giving me major Tinker Bell vibes, only a little more grown-up.

    I’m also really impressed with the updated Shop & Hop build this year! The new layout feels more like a shopping mall, and the outdoor spaces are especially cute with all of the autumn landscaping and twinkling lights. I’ve always had a soft spot for Shop & Hop because it’s one of those events that welcomes such a wide range of Second Life creators, from established favorites to smaller brands you might not have discovered otherwise. And of course, the gifts are always a big part of the fun!     New face skin! I’m wearing the new Briar skin from Amara Beauty. I haven’t been wearing Amara much since I switched to non-Velour body skin tones. Amara right now only creates skins for Velour tones, which makes it hard to match with whatever body skin I’m wearing. At the moment I’m wearing Session body skins, which only comes in four tones. It wasn’t easy to match, but I think I made it work.

    I like this face so much, it’s nearly perfect. I added a few of Izzie’s face tattoo fixes, but other than that the skin looks great right out of the box. If you like a face with defined features and a polished look, this one’s for you.

    I’ve also been wanting to blog about the Belle Epoque Reopening Hunt since August, and I finally got around to it now. You have until September 30 to check it out and grab 22 items for L$10 each. I love this dress so much, and I already own it in another color. The hair I’m wearing is a free gift from Wings. If you’re like me, you love a good freebie and mixing it with paid items.

    Now that Autumn’s here, I’m so excited to bring out all of my cardigans and sweaters. This beautiful Maple Cradi from Orphic even has a built-in hand pose, which I usually avoid, but here it’s cute and it works. You can find it at this month’s Anthology event.

    Feeling cold in real life, I went to Cherry Blossom Cove to enjoy some springtime landscaping. It’s so very pink here, so if you’re into that, come check out this place!

    Belle Epoque is giving away a L$500 store credit to celebrate the new year. I love how generous this brand is. They are always offering store credit or organizing fun hunts for group members. I believe this is a brilliant marketing strategy, as it encourages customers to wear the clothing and feature them on blogs. Because of these giveaways and constant sales, I have worn and blogged so much Belle Epoque over the past year. I also genuinely like most of the things they create. Hurry, the store credit ends on January 6.

    Isn’t my Coquette Bunny adorable? I saw someone on X/Twitter holding it, so I went to purchase it at a store called Mowdols! This bunny was quite hard to find since it’s a hair store, but I eventually located it near the entrance. I forgot that I bought this three weeks ago until I recently cleaned my inventory and stumbled upon it again. As of today, I have deleted 6,000 items and now have 71,000 items. Progress.

    I decided to switch up my skin tone again and now I’m wearing the Velour Snow from Glam Affair. While I loved the Ivory shade, it ended up being too pale for the Sina skin, so I’m diving into a variety of Glam Affair’s faces and skin tones to find the perfect match. When I tried on this skin, I knew it would be perfect with some tattoo fixes from Izzie’s. I’ll recommend adding additional highlights on this skin with Izzie’s Highlighter Set, and because I’m fussy, I also added the Lower Lip Border Fix, Eye Fix, Nose Shading Fix, Nostril Lightener, Blush/Contour Remover too.

    Shopping is one of my favorite pastimes, but a friend advised me to hold off until the Black Friday sales. It’s sound advice, especially since I often find myself with nothing left to buy from my favorite brands by then. It’s the tricky dilemma of being a loyal customer—you end up owning everything already! Plus, many Second Life brands don’t offer discounts on their new items during Black Friday. So, this year, I’m planning to curtail my shopping for a bit and see if there are any enticing deals when the sale arrives.

    Even though I’m trying to limit my purchases, I can’t help but enjoy playing dress-up with new items. I went to Belle Epoque to get the free L$500 store credit, which allowed me to get a beautiful dress, and I even spent a little extra to get a second one! So I suppose I wouldn’t say I’m completely not shopping, but I’m definitely doing better at slowing down. Belle Epoque is such a generous brand, frequently hosting hunts and giveaways. I’m a big fan of their styles—they’re incredibly cute and so affordable.

    I love trying to piece together a complete outfit from a hunt. Belle Epoque always has the best hunts for about L$10 per item. I can’t recall if I’ve done the Summer Hunt or Birthday Hunt before, so I did it again. Belle Epoque revived two older hunts until June 15th, so you can get them too if you didn’t in the past.     Happy Sunday! I remembered that I bought this beautiful Maitane (Pitaya) dress from Belle Epoque a while ago, and it was perfect for the coastal region of Quash – Mediterranee. The sleeves are so fluffy and big on this dress, making it a real statement piece!

    Unexpected updates are the best! LeLutka will release 4 new bento mesh heads on August 8th, and updating all current bento mesh heads to version 3.0. What’s in v3 you ask? The HUD is slightly different, and now there is a Moods tab that includes 12 default moods with the option to turn the head bone movement on/off.

    I made a short video cycling through all the moods below, check it out! 🙂

    I’m wearing Chloe in this post, cos I haven’t quite narrowed down which head I will wear next. Bento mesh heads have been out for a while, so I feel that there’s enough variety in heads/skins to make us unique looking. Do you still think that “everyone looks the same” in mesh heads or can we be unique now?
