Senra is here! When I showed you the NUX Senra Avatars on me two weeks ago, I did not edit the shape or wore anything in my inventory (because I had none on the beta grid).
Second Life announced the Senra Beta Avatars are now available to everyone via the library and a starter avatar web page with options for new users. After playing around with the shape and trying on two old system skins that I didn’t delete from my inventory, I decided to just wear the included Senra Jamie skin. Don’t even try to retrofit old skins or clothing, it’ll leave you feeling deep sadness.
Way back in the day, when the platform was new and some of you reading this weren’t born yet, Second Life residents could purchase a Lifetime account for $159.95 (later raised to $225) that offered them 4096 sqm of free land tier along with a generous L$500 weekly stipend.
Ever since I became a Premium member in 2019 to get a Linden Home, I’ve been asking Second Life to bring back Lifetime accounts. Well, it looks like my pleas have finally been heard because Patch Linden referred to it during the SL20B Opening Ceremony! We don’t have all of the details yet, but based on Patch’s speech and the SL20B Global Sweepstakes Grand Prize being a SecondLifetime Premium Subscription, this is a clear signal that Second Life is bringing back an updated version of the Lifetime account and calling it SecondLifetime Premium.
Here’s the live stream where Patch refers to Lifetime accounts:
“…with our premium perks, we need to bottle Second Life sunshine and sell it as an anti-aging serum… hmm… lifetime… lifetime… premium… lifetime… those words just seem to go together like peanut butter and jelly. I think I’m having an idea, perhaps something to discuss further at my Lab Gab session with Strawberry Linden, starting Monday, June 26th at 1:30 p.m. SLT.”
Hello from the new Linden WelcomeHub! It’s opening day, so there are lots of residents here checking it out, including mentors on hand to greet and help new residents. My friend, who was volunteering as a mentor, reported that she had already helped plenty of people. The futuristic and bright atmosphere reflects the SL20B slogan — “Our Fantastic Future”.
The WelcomeHub regions also includes Linden Homes demo, Motown, Helios Casino, a Sandbox, and a few other things to showcase things you can do in Second Life.

If you’re new to Second Life, welcome! Don’t feel pressured to go shopping, buy a mesh body, look good, own land, etc. Just focus on making friends, learning how to walk, opening packages, explore public spaces, and it’s okay to wear the free Library avatars. A lot of people swarm new residents with places to shop and help them look good, but they still leave Second Life cos they don’t have any friends or any reason to stay.
Hair Fair is now open! From now until July 2nd, I encourage you to only buy and wear hair sold at Hair Fair. Some of the best hair and accessories designers have generously donated their talents & time to benefit the Wigs for Kids charity. View the view the shopping guide and let’s get shopping!

Second Life is looking for Mentors – a volunteer unpaid position to help new residents. Volunteers should get a free Premium Plus subscription or a free homestead. How about it, Second Life? As the saying goes… you get what you pay for.
Do you love goodies? Head over to Elm for the Spring Fling Scavenger Hunt. Grab a basket and search around for eggs, then redeem them for prizes. The entire set is super cute for our springtime garden and comes complete with decor & food. You have until April 30th to complete the hunt.
Happy Sunday! I remembered that I bought this beautiful Maitane (Pitaya) dress from Belle Epoque a while ago, and it was perfect for the coastal region of Quash – Mediterranee. The sleeves are so fluffy and big on this dress, making it a real statement piece!

Did you ever buy a sign just cos it has your name on it? The Hello Gorgeous sign from RAMA will now grace my Second Life walls. Typically I would not pay L$550 for a pack of neon signs, but how could I resist this? For everyone that’s new here, Gogo is short for Gorgeous.
Hello from Aurelias! We’re adding touches of Spring to the town square, and the centerpiece is this beautiful Blooming Grand Piano from Dust Bunny. Add your photos to the Aurelias Flickr group to be selected for the group cover. I love seeing the region through your eyes.
I’m wearing the new Ubon head from LeLutka. It’s slightly different than Kaya, but I think I’m ready to move on. I spent days modifying my shape to my liking; it’s a work in progress. I shared this raw screenshot on Twitter a few days ago. I love the HD brows so much, and this is the first time I’m undecided between the really thin HD brows or the one I normally wear, the less thin one. They both work so well for this head. I normally only like the bottom two, the rest are way too bushy and thick for me.
I’ve been attending the Concierge and Land User Group meetings and they’re so lively and interesting. I started going to be more informed about upcoming land changes and to give feedback. Wendi Linden & Vix Linden were such great hosts. Here’s the schedule for the meeting — see you at the next one!
I already know a lot about Second Life land, maybe too much. I’m obsessed with regions, Linden Homes, and mainland (even though mainland is my least favorite land product). Recently I learned that some residents don’t utilize the 10% group land bonus because they don’t understand it. I’m currently holding a piece of mainland, and with the group bonus, I can donate my extra tier to my friend. If every Premium member (who doesn’t own a Linden Home) deeds their tier to group, they would have a little extra to donate to a public project or acquire more land. If you own a big enough parcel of mainland, where the 10% bonus is 512sqm or more, you could use that extra to get a Linden Home.
If you find land stuff interesting, let me know in the comments. I’m happy to share some tips & tricks to maximize your land-owning experience without spending extra money.
