Hello from my mainland beach! Since I sold my sim, I have been looking for a small slice of waterfront beach. As you know, most mainland waterfront beach parcels are overpriced, costing HUNDREDS of dollars. I consider mainland a risky investment, cos at any moment, a neighbor could rez a giant rock wall or other annoying decors and ruin everything.
I’m so happy a friend I met recently on mainland gave me this parcel, cos he just bought a full sim. I have one side that is unblockable watefront, and the other sides are kind of horrible. I will just look out, and never look back. I love FREE LAND!
The right pose can make or break a photo. In my research for new bento poses for blogging, I found that the best way to familiarize yourself with a variety of brands is through the Marketplace. I went on the Marketplace and searched for ‘bento pose’ then I filtered it by the Animations category, and sorted price from low to high. I found at least a dozen free or $1L poses that looks natural and cute for blogging. Smart brands give away nice freebies to showcase their products and gain new customers.
Hello from ChouChou! When I read that the beloved ChouChou sim was closing last week, my first thought was, “it’s still online?!” Apparently so, and now Linden Lab is trying to save it.
I’m pretty sure everyone with a last name in SL has visited ChouChou at least once. If you haven’t, you should go before it closes (but it may be saved!). I have visited this sim half a dozen times in the past decade, and I NEVER knew there was a cathedral in the sky until I read about it last week.
Now that I have assigned caregivers for my baby, it’s time to lounge in this gorgeous new release from The Secret Store. I’m wearing the Fawn Bodysuit & Cleo Lacey Vest, both available at Collabor88. I found the perfect wavy hair to go with this chill boho look, it’s the Avalon style from Exile.

Hello virtual neighbors! I have decided to decorate the inside of my Linden home. At first I had planned on using all of the prims outside, for landscaping and exterior decor, but after seeing other residents using their 351 prims wisely, I realized that I wasn’t being efficient. I am still using nearly 200 prims outside, but as I decorate the rooms in my home, I will remove landscaping and replace high-prim items with lower prim ones.
Every home needs a nice living room, it’s usually the first thing people see. I love the Vida Sofa Set from Cheeky Pea. The set includes a texture HUD to change the colors of the sofa & pillows (8 presets), so it would work with lots of interior styles. The entire set is only 46 land impact! (Does anyone know the difference between li and prims?) I aim to use only 50 prims for each room, so I can decorate all the rooms in my home. I added a planter and a few knick-knacks on the shelf, and this room is complete.
Low-prim living, at it’s finest!Everything here is 21 li!
For my foyer area, I am using the Bailey Lounge Chairs, Side Table & Decor set from What Next. Everything includes texture-change options; this set is so versatile! What Next is my go-to home decor brand, it has really sweet styles with nice textures.
My decorating skills are quite low in SL. I don’t like clutter, and I also can’t remember all the things that are in my inventory. This however, works out perfectly in a Linden home. For the sake of being able to rez things quickly, let’s not overload our homes!
After I arranged my decor, I had to do a fresh re-install of Second Life cos my textures kept refreshing constantly. It was a nightmare! I know my computer is quite old (if I tell you how old it is, you will be shocked – hint: it’s almost as old as my blog), but I can usually rez just fine on private sims. I blame my neighbors for this! Being on a shared public sim is difficult, especially with everyone trying to decorate their homes to the brim.
After I did my re-install of Second Life, things were a little better. I decided NOT to adjust the debug settings. Back in the day, it was recommended to adjust rendervolumelodfactor and some other things, to get mesh to render correctly and not be a blob. I’ve been thinking about it, and we have come a long way since the early mesh days. Creators need to optimize their stuff, cos most SL residents don’t even know about the Advanced menu. If I have to adjust debug settings for your things to render correctly, then I do not want them. So my SL experience going forward, will just be whatever the default settings are.
I just found this outfit from The Secret Store in my inventory, that’s how much of a wreck my inventory is right now. I love it! The reason I’m wearing this teal color is cos my new sofa also comes in this exact shade!! If you ever wanted to match your furniture, here’s your chance.

Truth – Surrender
The Secret Store – Fiona Belted Skirt, Samantha Blazer
Mesh heads are probably the most expensive thing you can buy your avatar in SL; most of them cost over $5,000L. I don’t change my head often due to price (plus having to buy all new add-ons and skins), and the learning curve. All of the heads require a different shape and figuring out how the HUD works.
Pink Fuel – Delina Skin for GENUS Project (out soon at The Epiphany)
As you know, I have worn the LeLutka mesh heads almost exclusively since they came out. I saw Kavar using Genus Project heads a lot in his recent ads, and it looks amazing!!! Things I like about Genus Project: easy to modify shape, lots of skins available, options on HUD to adjust makeup opacity and colors, and I like how it looks on me. Things I don’t like: the HUD is confusing, there are two separate HUDs for settings and animations, animations are ugly (ugly is subjective, so I’ll say it’s not as great as LeLutka), no built-in eye control, no easy way to clear all makeups, no way to save looks unless I am missing it.
It would be more fun to change mesh heads if the price of obtaining a mesh head wasn’t so expensive! I didn’t think that Classic and Baby are all that much different, so I wish there were some type of discount like… buy one head, get additional ones for half price.
The Genus Project mesh head costs $5,500L. Kavar gifted me the Classic face, which I love! Then I found out that all of the skins made are for Baby! For the sake of wearing this Delina skin made by Pink Fuel, I also bought the Baby face. The skins made for Baby and Classic are not interchangeable. I found that the eyes and lips area don’t fit if the skin is not made for that particular head. So when you’re demoing skins, take note which head it is made for…. otherwise you’ll end up with lots of frustrations when modifying a shape for it.
Overall, I do recommend the Genus Project mesh heads. Change is refreshing. Change is fun. If Genus Project keeps improving their HUD and scripting, they will become one of my favorites, and perhaps yours too?

It’s madness how much I spent to win every piece of the Long Vacation gacha set. I’ve been shifting from retro-style to 80s-style in SL. I don’t remember when I started wearing Amitomo or buying cute little builds from Haikei, but I’m so glad these two brands exist in SL. I desperately needed new brands in my SLife, so I’m glad to have found a handful of cute stores with consistent releases to inspire me.
Have you seen the delicious new animation add-on from LeLutka? Lol Bee Bop and Wooly Mammoth are two more food-centric animations to keep you satisfied. I’m thinking maybe LeLutka should release a teeth brushing animation next, that would be so cute!
Are there animations that you want for mesh heads? Let me know in the comments!
Do you like fun animations? The new animations add-on for LeLutka mesh heads are amazing! I’m a huge fan of cute things, and chewing gum just seems adorable, even more so virtually. LeLutka released Gum Gum Boom and Delights Cream. These animations are for gum chewing and eating ice cream, but I suppose they can be used for some adult things too… use your imagination. Watch the official video, it’s definitely sexy.
I am dressed head to toe in donuts! I love sweet prints, and it doesn’t get any sweeter than the donuts print on my shoes and top.
I needed something exciting to happen on the grid, and Pink Fuel delivered with the gorgeous new Anja Skin! This skin is a delightful and unexpected surprise from Pink Fuel, since Mochi doesn’t create a lot of LeLutka appliers. With this new skin, I also changed my skin tone to Biscuit, instead of my beloved Peach tone. Biscuit is one shade lighter, but still rosy and sun-kissed.
This skin is available at LookBook (for $1,350L) and includes skin & makeup options to truly customize your look! Have you noticed a trend with SL “events” moving to a HUD-based system, instead of in-world shopping? I love this! I like new things, but I don’t like waiting for things to rez or struggling to enter crowded sims. Unless the sim truly provides something awesome to explore, most of them are just vendors on a wall. I think they all look the same, so this is a more preferable way to acquire new goods. What are your thoughts on HUD-based events?
What I’m Wearing:

I wear a lot of shoes from Ingenue, you could say that it’s my go-to brand for shoes. Most of the styles are available in plenty of colors and prints, and pairs well with casual styles. I am wearing the Elodie Flats from Ingenue. Exile is killing it with this gorgeous Long Beach hairstyle, available at Summerfest! It feels like summer is a year-long season in SL, which is alright with me cos I mostly live on the beach.
