It was time for Gogo to get a fresh new portrait to celebrate the new PBR lighting in Second Life! The last time I changed my profile photo was 4 years ago. Despite taking selfies all the time, I rarely think a photo is good enough for a profile update. Hopefully, this one will last for the next four years!

My friend Sparkle has crafted the most darling Emily Pearl Headband set. You can snag it at her main store on Sparkle Skye. Right now, it’s 50% off the fatpack, and there’s a special discount pack for the weekend sale. It pairs beautifully with the new Destiny hairstyle from Doux—a match made in virtual heaven!

These photos were taken at my Linden Home using the JuicyBomb – Country Skies EEP Settings. Even though I made these settings pre-PBR, the viewer automatically adjusts the lighting—it’s fantastic that they still work so well for photography. If you have this pack, you can easily tweak the lighting to suit your needs.

Summer in the City

Summer in the City

Good morning from the beautiful City of Portofino!

The latest round of the Anthology event has just opened, brimming with summery delights! There are so many tempting accessories and makeups this time around. I couldn’t resist dashing straight for the Asuna Sunglasses from BONDI and the Tifa Sandals from C’est La Vie. Make sure to check out the shopping guide on Seraphim.

For today’s look, I’ve paired my Anthology treasures with the stylish Sonya Sweater & Top from Tetra. Tetra always delivers immaculate creations, so I typically don’t scrutinize the mesh quality. However, this time I noticed a few issues—the back of the sweater wasn’t rigged quite right, with some odd breaks around the back and arms in standard poses. This is a good reminder that, no matter how much you trust a brand, it’s always wise to demo and inspect an item from every angle.

All the photos in this post were taken using a PBR viewer with minimal editing. I simply cropped the images and added a subtle blur to the background. With the current conversation around overly processed SL photos, fueled by AI enhancements, I prefer to keep my editing minimal. Due to time constraints, I spend only a minute or two on each photo, primarily focusing on cropping and saving the file.

Happy shopping and enjoy the summer vibes!

Tropical Vacation

Tropical Vacation

Hello from Badu-Fiji! You can take a virtual vacation in Second Life to anywhere, it’s just a teleport away. When I landed at here, I was instantly greeted with a lei gift. I’ve been in a tropical mood since I bought this Tropical Vibe decor set from Movement. I intended to share a link to this product from Flickr, but, it seems the brand’s account has vanished.

Since I started blogging in 2007, I’ve primarily used Flickr as my platform of choice to connect with Second Life residents and brands. Flickr stands out to many users due to its comprehensive set of features suitable for photo hosting combined with its social networking capabilities. However, there has been a worrying trend where several Second Life community members have experienced bans from Flickr. Such bans are often linked to violations of Flickr’s policy, which prohibits commercial activities on free accounts and the uploading of content deemed moderate or restricted.

Rather than upgrading to a paid Pro account, many affected users opt to start over on alternative platforms. These alternatives may initially be free, but like Flickr, they often introduce fees after reaching certain usage thresholds. Thus, migrating does not fully escape the issues related to costs.

Laundry Day

Laundry Day

Sunday has rolled around again, which means it’s time for chores like laundry. In Second Life, I don’t often choose lingerie, but when I do, I prefer Bakes on Mesh for easy layering. They’re great for layering under other clothes to keep my look tasteful.

I’ve also made a point of wearing actual underwear lately, instead of just turning on the alpha on my pelvis.

Recently, I picked up a charming Nyla bra and panties set from Ison, and guess what? It’s a group gift, and joining the Ison group is free! When I first wore this set, I noticed the nipple area was quite prominent. But no worries — I just used the Bakes on Mesh add-ons from Maitreya and everything looked much smoother.

BoM Add-ons

It’s pretty interesting in Second Life how some clothes really go into detail in certain areas, if you get what I mean! Thankfully, some thoughtful designers offer solutions to soften those details.

Friday

Friday

Happy Friday, everyone in Second Life! I’m excited about this new set of poses I found. The Erin pose & anim pack from Goyo comes with cute headphones, perfect for enjoying music or snapping fun photos. What I appreciate most is that each pose has an animation, plus a flipped version. However, I did notice my fingers were not positioned perfectly in some poses, which made me tweak them using the poser in the Black Dragon viewer. It’s not my usual viewer, but it’s pretty useful for these adjustments.

Ever put on a skin and felt like it could use a bit more shine? I found this Highlighter set by Izzie’s that offers lots of options to add a nice glow to your skin. The skin that I’m wearing, Emery from Glam Affair, already looked good, but I couldn’t resist adding a bit more highlight to areas like the eyes, forehead, and the area just above the lip.

Photo taken with JuicyBomb – Autumn Skies EEP Settings

Hello from the sandy shores of Sillywood! This adorable little beach and boardwalk spot is the absolute best for a casual walk or snagging some great pics for your blog. I’ve got a thing for beachy scenes in Second Life, and boardwalks? Yes, please!

Sillywood

So today, I started to tidying up my inventory a bit (I didn’t get very far), but I did find lots of cute items that I bought recently. I decided to mix and match some of my faves from last month with a few fresh finds from this weekend’s sales events. This Mattie Long Sweater Dress from Ison is everything! The color choices are fab, and it’s comes with two HUDs that lets you switch up the under shirt or sweater colors. And these Worn Block Sneakers Stickers Edt. by Semller? Utterly adorable and a steal during the sale.

Seaside Sweets Shop

Seaside Sweets Shop

Hello from the charming Seaside Sweets Shop, lovingly decorated by the talented Fay Starlight. This Traditional Linden Home has been transformed into a delightful sweet shop featuring cozy decor and an abundance of complimentary treats and beverages.

I’m fond of the adorable kawaii cafes scattered throughout Bellisseria and hope that the moles will grace us with many more such quaint spots across the continent. To me, the essence of a vibrant community encompasses more than just living spaces; it includes retail establishments and perhaps even a quaint chapel.

Lily Bell

Lily Bell

The inspiration for my outfit today is Lily Bell, a character from one of my favorite shows. Tan isn’t usually my top picks in SL, but I chose the tan pants and a white blouse cos it reminds me of one of Lily’s outfits.

I bought these items from the ISON x Rowne Collection, it is a limited edition collection and a collaboration between two brands. I think it’s a bold move to offer these items for a limited time only, so if you’re reading this post a month from now, they’re no longer available. I read Sasy’s post about the collection before buying, and I must say that I am slightly disappointed they didn’t offer sizing for some of the major bodies on the grid.

Lily Bell

Impulsively, I want to fatpack these things cos they’ll be gone forever! But I know that I rarely wear the same outfit twice, so I picked out two pieces that I love from the collection and chose a color for each. The Brito blouse I can pair with skirts and so many other things. I desperately need more pants in SL, so the Ondria pants are just the perfect addition to my wardrobe. I actually wanted to fatpack these until I took a closer look at the crotch area and noticed some really unsightly discoloration in the texturing; it just looked dirty…. and that’s not an area that should appear dirty, lol. On some of the darker colors, it’s not as noticeable but it was super noticeable on the pink color. I would show you guys to confirm that it’s not just my computer, but overall I am happy with the tan color pants I got, since it matches the discoloration (yellowish brown).

Lily Bell

Overall, I think the collection is definitely worth checking out. Whether you like slim fitting gowns, or outfits, there’s something for most tastes. To be honest, the collection reminds me of my work clothes, very basic colors and nicely tailored.

What I’m Wearing:

ISON x Rowne – Brito Blouse (White)
ISON x Rowne – Ondria Pants (Tan)
Truth Hair – Tempest
Ricielli – Wendy High Heels
LaGyo – Siroune Ring (Gold)
