Lilith, new LeLutka Mesh Head

LeLutka - Lilith Mesh Head
LeLutka – Lilith Mesh Head & Glam Affair – Damned Mask

Have you seen Lilith, the new LeLutka mesh head? The collaboration between LeLutka, Glam Affair, and Velour is so timely for Halloween. This mesh head includes add-on horns that you can wear to create a uniquely demonic look. I’m wearing the Lilith Damned Mask from Glam Affair over my skin (also from Glam Affair). I never thought I would be sporting a demonic look, but it suits me here. I predict this mesh head will launch a whole new underworld roleplay in Second Life, it’s that good. Will there be mesh accessories created for Lilith horns? Will there be hair created specifically for Lilith horns? I’m completely blown away at how well done this head is, and you’re getting a deal because it can also be worn as a regular head.

LeLutka - Lilith Mesh Head

When I try on a new mesh head, I always edit the shape a little bit to see if it’s something I could wear. Then if I like it, I go all in and spend hours editing my shape until it’s exactly right. I’m on version 10 right now of my new Lilith shape, tweaking the sliders so that the face and profile look great. I was wearing Ubon, which was released just 8 months ago, and still feels very new to me. I have a few favorites from the LeLutka releases, but I do like to change and not be stuck wearing one mesh head for a long time.

Pepe Skins – Mocha

Left: Pepe Skins – Mocha skin | Right: with tattoo layers

Whenever I see a Second Life skin advertisement, I always think, “But does it really look like that?” I stumbled upon Pepe Skins recently and after trying on a dozen or so faces, I selected one that I thought looked very sweet and definitely something I could wear.

I’m wearing the Mocha skin from Pepe Skins here, along with the body skin. The skin is created for LeLutka EvoX, and includes Brows or No brows available in just one color. This skin brand doesn’t offer much with the skin, unlike other brands where you can get at least a few brow colors and some makeup. I found the neck shading too heavy/reddish tone and overall the body skin is just grainy but I chose to wear it here cos I couldn’t make it work with my usual body skin and neck fade layers. But overall, the faces on Pepe Skins are all very pretty. They also participate in weekend sales so you can get a cheap skin to try out!

LeLutka Vivian Mesh Head

LeLutka - Vivian Mesh Head

I was not expecting to try another mesh head so soon after Ubon, but I could not resist trying on this LeLutka Vivian head at Skin Fair. This event opens on March 10th, but you can join the Juniper Events group to gain early access. I’m a blogger, so I gained entry through SL Bloggerati and was able to go a little earlier for the media preview. I really appreciate when events have early access groups for people that aren’t official bloggers. More events and brands should utilize media preview groups to get even more coverage.

Send Gifts to Your Favorite SLers

Milk & Dumplings

One of my SL friends, Alicia Chenaux, is now a Twitch streamer, and she occasionally receives gifts from people that watch her stream. I think it’s so nice that the Twitch community shows their appreciation of each other by giving real-world gifts, not just in-game things.

How can Second Life residents show their appreciation for each other outside of Second Life? I’ve been researching some platforms used by online content creators, and here are three that are a good start.

Sweet Valentine

Sweet Valentine

Happy Valentine’s Day! Spring has arrived on Aurelias, and it’s just the perfect weather for a stroll around town. When I’m not wearing casual outfits, I love to dress up in frilly Victorian-style looks, or my interpretation of it.

I had a grand time today riding the Linden Love Train and meeting some Lindens and Moles at Isle of View. This year is my first time attending the Dunk & Hug a Linden & Mole Event, and I was disappointed that there were only a few Lindens in attendance. It was definitely exciting to pose for a photo with the most popular Linden of all time, Patch Linden. I wanted to meet some of my favorite Lindens on the Concierge team, but they were probably busy working.

Autumn in Aurelias

Autumn in Aurelias

Construction is underway at Aurelias! Our town is growing, and we’ve just finished building a lighthouse. I’m so excited about the arrival of autumn, my favorite season. We had hoped to launch the region last year about this time, but we didn’t make it in time for autumn. I’m so very excited for you to experience autumn in Aurelias, I think you’ll find it very cozy.

Frugalista

Frugalista

Hello from Aurelias! I got such a good deal on my outfit and hair that I felt like a complete frugalista. The hair was $250L for a fatpack from Stealthic and the outfit is $50L from cheezu. You can look fantastic in Second Life without breaking your budget. I find it completely doable to live on just the premium membership stipend of $300L weekly. You don’t even have to look that hard for a sale, designers are all competing for your lindens.

In Fantasy

In Fantasy

/Update/ I’m updating this post to say that Patch Linden did not extend the fair for another two weeks. It was an inside joke that apparently I misunderstood. A lot of the attendants at the event were thanking him in local chat and acted excited, so I thought it was part of the planned event/offerings. This reminds me of all the awkward times when Linden Lab would make inside jokes during official events that only a few people got, and it’s super awkward for everyone not privy to the joke. Anyway, the fair ended!
*note* This info is according to the Fantasy Faire organizer on SM.

Did you hear? Fantasy Faire has been extended for another two weeks – courtesy of Patch Linden! Patch announced this at the Jail & Bail event, so you have more time to explore and shop the regions for a good cause. I had a great time attending my first Jail & Bail and seeing all of the goodies up for grabs.
