Elle is trying her best to keep up with blogging – well her human is at least. But, alas, she got the covids (yes, I am vaxed) and got a bit behind with things. The one thing that made her human happy during the brief times she was able to log in was being able to dress her dolly, Elle, and decorate her new Beach Stilt and one of the wave sims that was released recently…YAY!Continue reading
Elle the Elf – has a nice ring to it, eh? I used to Role Play quite a bit of Second Life before my long hiatus. As of late, I have thought about dipping my toe back into the Role Play pool. But this time I want it to be ultra fantasy – high fantasy even. I want to immerse myself in a world of elves, faes, magical beings, etc, and so on. You might wonder, where did all this elven inspiration come from? Well, my friends, it came in the form of the somewhat off-beat Lelutka release knowns as “Prim”.Continue reading
Hair Fair is open! From July 1st-16th, a percentage of every hair that you buy at the event will benefit the Wigs for Kids organization. I look forward to Hair Fair annually, cos I have so many fond memories of shopping here through the years.
Check out the official Hair Fair blog for a preview of all the hairstyles and direct SLurls. When I went to the preview last night, this post was not up yet, which is actually a good thing cos I got to see all the booths and discover some new-to-me brands. I recommend going to the sims and buying the demos that you want to try directly, instead of relying on the Hair Fair Demo group cos that can get overwhelming.
I’m so impressed that hair designers got together and brought their best efforts to this event. In addition to bento hair, I’ve discovered that a handful of brands are now offering Style options, often built into the texture HUD or as a separate HUD.
Here are 5 hairstyles I love from Hair Fair:

This past Monday, the media reported extensively on a report by psychologist Cliff Arnall indicating Monday January 16th may be the Bluest Monday in a very long time. So what was Elle’s typist doing on that particular Monday? Well she was at home, sick and taking photos of her Second Life avatar!
I did not feel particularly blue emotionally but for sure I was feeling down physically. After being in Second Life for almost 10 years, I have found my avatars often are a reflection of myself in Real Life. Not necessarily say how Elle looks but in how I decorate Elle. When I am happy I tend to dress her in youthful, colorful clothes. In a moment when I am down, I might dress her in more dark, subdued tones. And on Monday, when these photos were taken, she was in a whole lot of black!
Any who, just some random thoughts today. Details on Elle’s look can be found below. So until next, take care my friends and have a great Second Life!
