This sexy lil’ bikini is a new release from Djinn & Tonic. I like everything about this bikini, it’s colorful and has a great style. The bikini also includes prim ties on the back, which is a nice little detail to add more realism.

Mesh heads are probably the most expensive thing you can buy your avatar in SL; most of them cost over $5,000L. I don’t change my head often due to price (plus having to buy all new add-ons and skins), and the learning curve. All of the heads require a different shape and figuring out how the HUD works.
As you know, I have worn the LeLutka mesh heads almost exclusively since they came out. I saw Kavar using Genus Project heads a lot in his recent ads, and it looks amazing!!! Things I like about Genus Project: easy to modify shape, lots of skins available, options on HUD to adjust makeup opacity and colors, and I like how it looks on me. Things I don’t like: the HUD is confusing, there are two separate HUDs for settings and animations, animations are ugly (ugly is subjective, so I’ll say it’s not as great as LeLutka), no built-in eye control, no easy way to clear all makeups, no way to save looks unless I am missing it.
It would be more fun to change mesh heads if the price of obtaining a mesh head wasn’t so expensive! I didn’t think that Classic and Baby are all that much different, so I wish there were some type of discount like… buy one head, get additional ones for half price.
The Genus Project mesh head costs $5,500L. Kavar gifted me the Classic face, which I love! Then I found out that all of the skins made are for Baby! For the sake of wearing this Delina skin made by Pink Fuel, I also bought the Baby face. The skins made for Baby and Classic are not interchangeable. I found that the eyes and lips area don’t fit if the skin is not made for that particular head. So when you’re demoing skins, take note which head it is made for…. otherwise you’ll end up with lots of frustrations when modifying a shape for it.
Overall, I do recommend the Genus Project mesh heads. Change is refreshing. Change is fun. If Genus Project keeps improving their HUD and scripting, they will become one of my favorites, and perhaps yours too?

I think LG is a fairly new skin brand, and they’re already doing fantastic work. They have so much potential, although right now, they’re still rough around the edges. I think they have nailed some aspects of their skins and need to work on others, I’ll discuss those below. However, the *most* important feature on a skin is a lovable face, and to me, Ayil is a face that can be easily worn by many cos it has soft curvy lips and a smooth skin tone.
Each LG skin tone has 10 gorgeous makeups, light and dark brows, and blonde and black hair base option.
I love the Dark brows, I think it’s very realistic looking and has a great shape. I’m a bit disappointed that the Light brows is completely different and looks like someone had an accident with a razor. I guess this is an artistic decision, but as someone who often favors lighter hair and brows, I feel a bit cheated by it.
Now onto something kinda ugly, which can be overlooked if you never take your clothes off, but still, you’ll know it’s there. I don’t like that the nipples and belly button has a slight reddish orange hue to it, and does not match the rest of the skin at all. This might be good uh… RP skin, if you know what I mean, but not something I would want to wear normally.
I do like the feet on this skin, even though the toe nails are a bit large, it has a nice & realistic look. I’ve come to accept that regular SL feet will always be slightly ugly, but some skin designers manage to create pretty decent looking feet.
This face is so pretty, I have a soft spot for base skin with little to no make-up.

This is a preview of the LOGO Infinity Sadie Hybrid Mesh Avatar. I don’t usually like to tease, but I’m sure you’ll forgive me cos this face is gorgeous. I’ve anticipated the release of Sadie, ever since I saw the poster at LOGO’s main store. I’m a huge fan of the previous Chloe face, so I gave Max a ton of feature requests/feedback, and he magically incorporated all of them into a brand new HUD!
Sadie is a new face, with small pouty lips, more makeup options, more facial expressions, and the ears (3 sets) are now separate attachments.
I adore the new slimmer HUD, as shown above. When not in use, the HUD can sit on the side of your SL screen and not take up space. I also like being able to select ALL of my makeups with one single HUD, instead of 3 separate HUDs before. The arrows are for add-ons, so if you buy more makeup options, you can just drag the script into the HUD and it will automatically update.
I will let you know when Sadie is released at the LOGO main store. Are you excited about this new face?

As you know, my blog focuses mostly on fashion, cos I find decorating fun but challenging. I don’t have the natural talent or patience, to put together perfectly decorated spaces. Although I know I ‘suck’ in this area, I still like to make a cozy space to invite friends over, if they ever log on (hint, hint).
What is my decorating style? Colorful, shabby, beachy, clean, eclectic, retro — pretty much anything goes, I guess? If it appeals to me, and the scale is right, I’ll try to find a place for it.
I’m using the Summer Beach Cottage from Elate. It’s four years old but still one of my favorite builds, with just two rooms and plenty of lights. The walls are scripted to color-change too!
