This is a preview of Mochi Milena's adorable Raine skins that will be released on August 3rd. Each skin includes 2 brow options (light brow, dark brows) and with freckles and without freckles.
These makeups may look similar at first glance, but they're each unique, they just have a similar color palette.
I love how fresh & young these skins look. They're more hand-draw than what I typically wear but a lot of people in SL love the softly drawn skins & pouty-lips look.
If you're into kawaii stuff, you will love Pink Fuel's latest Raine skins. The skin is for kawaii lovers, they're irresistible.
I’ve been thinking about SL22B, Second Life’s big birthday celebration, which is coming up next week. Around this time every year, I also find myself reflecting on whether I would buy SecondLifetime Premium Plus again in 2025.
Back at SL20B, Second Life introduced SecondLifetime Premium and SecondLifetime Premium Plus. It was a limited offer, and I was able to buy just one SecondLifetime Premium for $749 dollars. Then during SL21B, they gave us the option to upgrade from regular lifetime to Plus. I went for it and spent another $1,150 dollars to upgrade my main account. I also bought a brand new SecondLifetime Premium Plus for my alt at the full price of $1,899 dollars. So altogether, I’ve spent $3,789 dollars for two lifetime accounts.
Did I need two lifetime accounts? Last year, I would have said yes without hesitation. I wanted to lock in my Linden Homes permanently. I do not consider myself a creator, so the free uploads were not a huge deal for me. I also do not care about being in a hundred groups. The biggest appeal for me was living rent free in my Linden Homes. That was enough to justify it at the time.
Back then, I had a lot more confidence in Second Life as a company. These days, that confidence has faded. Would I buy another lifetime subscription this year? No, I would not. If they offer it again in very limited numbers, I guess my choice to pass gives someone else a shot at it. If you want one of these, you should pay attention during the Meet the Lindens event at SL22B next week and be ready to submit your ticket fast.
Lately, I keep asking myself how long a Second Lifetime really is. I hope the answer is forever, or at least long enough to break even. We are living in unpredictable times, and Second Life could disappear at any moment. None of us want that, but at the end of the day it is a company, and companies can go under. Everyone who bought Lifetime like I did is hoping Second Life stays around long enough for us to enjoy the full value of our long lifetime subscriptions.
I am thankful for the talents of other SL residents daily, especially when I need a well-decorated sim for photography. I’m standing NordeyNey, it looks like a charming residential sim that is opened to the public. Now that it’s autumn, I’m glad that designers are introducing plaid back into their designs. Less floral, MORE PLAID!!!! This gorgeous Oslo shirt is from Fishy Strawberry, and includes a texture-changing HUD.
What I’m Wearing:
LeLutka – BAMBI Hair (Praline)
Fishy Strawberry – Oslo Shirt (S) Light Denim
Monso – My Studded Shorts (Deep Blue)
Katat0nik – (Pink) Floral Glasses
L.Warwick – Virtuoso Oxford Dress Shoes (White)
Ohmai – Beary Lurvin
Amitomo – Watch C White
I picked up this Cloe skin from Glam Affair for LOGO’s Alex mesh head at Collabor88. I like this skin a lot, except that it didn’t come with any makeups, just a bare skin and brow color options. Unfortunately, with mesh heads, makeups from various brands don’t always play well together.
Have you noticed that when skin brands release a skin for mesh heads, they only include a limited choice of makeups and that’s it. I hope that skin designers will offer more add-on products for their skin appliers, such as more makeups so we can keep wearing our favorite “face” instead of always having to buy a new skin!
What I’m Wearing:
LOGO – Alex Mesh Head
LeLutka – Cat hair
Glam Affair – Cloe Appleirs for LOGO (America)
Isabeal Jupiter asked me to submit a head shot for her blog project showcasing beautiful avatars around SL. Normally I’m too lazy to participate in anything, but I actually did this!!
Normally I would have used LeLutka skin, cos that’s what my avatar wears a lot but I felt like wearing Laqroki’s Pearl skin today. I feel like my avatar is not defined by a single skin. At any given moment, I am obsessed with several skins at once.
Second Life is hosting a Community Roundtable on May 20th, allowing residents to engage directly with top executives like Executive Chairman Oberwolf Linden and Senior VP Grumpity Linden. Submit your questions in advance via the anonymous form.
Hey Hey, it’s a party! Chic Management celebrates its first birthday with tons of goodies from SL designers.
cheLLe has a festive lil’ pack of tattoo eyeliners that’s just perfect for adding a bit of color to any skin. The Cleo Called set comes with 6 eyeliner tattoos, and is out now at CH1C.
I absolutely love, love, LOVE this look! If you don’t mind me asking Gogo, what color skintone did you use, and where did you get those delish prim lashes?
xoxo ♥’s!
