Friday has just released these two similar hairstyles and they’re sooo pretty! Michelle has adorable short bangs and Michelle 2 has longer bangs secured by bobby pins. I wish Friday would release more diverse hairstyles, like pigtails, braids, messy updos, etc. C’mon Parvarti Monday! 🙂
One of my favorite shops in SL is back!! Sweetest Goodbye has moved to their own sim, so they will be releasing lots of new clothes & skins. I’ll be featuring the skins in a separate blog entry, but today I want to show you guys this sexy Highway Star (fully sculpted) top that includes 2 different styles of bras to be worn underneath, if you want a more modest look.
This top is perfection from all angles! The sculpted pieces are 3 separate attachments, so they’re super easy to wear and have some flexibility.

Do you know about Void lashes? I’ve seen this brand gain popularity and support from various creators, so I decided to find out what it’s all about. I absolutely love the default LeLutka lashes that are attached to the mesh head, so I never felt the need for a third-party add-on. However, I woke up yesterday and decided to delve into Void lashes.
Void is created by a resident named Pure Void. Their marketplace store showcases a selection of lashes that are rigged for various popular mesh heads. I decided to get a demo of the popular Void Demure Lashes, and to do so, I had to teleport to the store. To access the store in-world, you must accept the land experience. At first, I was annoyed by this, but once I visited the store and experienced the region design and animation sequence, I was thoroughly impressed. It adds so much to the shopping experience, making you feel as though you’re stepping into the introduction of an anime movie.
I chose the Void Demure lashes because I wanted to wear them with Mila’s Obscura Eyelashes. This motivated me to learn more about Void lashes, because I love all of Mila’s lashes and wanted to wear these as well. Although the Void lashes are pricey at L$1,499, they come with a customization HUD and are rigged for numerous mesh heads. Upon opening the EvoX package, I found a version for each of LeLutka’s heads, including the latest, Camila. This indicates that Void continually provides updates, making it a worthwhile investment.
The lashes allow you to wear the top, mid, and bottom lashes or turn them off entirely. I have only seen people wear these lashes with all three options, and they often appeared somewhat droopy and busy to me. I was very glad to discover that I could turn off the mid lashes! Additionally, there’s a HUD for customizing the gems and toggling the alpha settings between blend and mask. I highly recommend using blend mode because when you set it to alpha mask mode, it can look like chunky spider legs on your face. While some may appreciate that aesthetic, it simply does not resonate with me.
Blend vs Alpha Mask mode
Overall, I believe the reason that residents are choosing to wear Void lashes is that they offer a different look compared to the lashes included with their head of choice. They can also be longer, more intense, and come in various shapes. Personally, I felt that the Void lashes gave my eyes a hint of droopiness, yet they also appear quite dramatic.
If you’re looking for something different, check out Void lashes! Even if you’re not, the store is worth a visit; it provides the best land experience I have encountered in Second Life.
I’m watching The Tudors again, so my obsession with gowns and all things frilly are back!
Nicky Ree released this Le Fleur Baroque gown last weekend and it’s fantastic. Someone once asked, how many gowns do you actually need Gogo? WELLLL.. the answer is a lot! I need all of them. I love gowns, LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. Even if I have one in nearly every color, I can’t help but look everytime Nicky Ree releases new stuff. YAY for gowns!!
And yay The Tudors!!
And can someone please point me to a men’s store that sells suits that would compliment period gowns?
Other stuff I’m wearing: Illusions – Smokey veil | Cake – Swoon hair | Muse – The Dauphine jewelry set
LeLutka – Gem (Base Skin) worn here without (left) and with eye bags tattoo (right)
Here’s a preview of the upcoming LeLutka Gem skin that will be released this Friday. If you’re a fan of the Kit skin released about two weeks ago, you will love Gem! Between Kit and Gem, I totally adore the Gem skin on my shape more, though the face is similar.
Have you noticed more skin designers are selling “skin packs” now, rather than selling individual skins? LeLutka has moved towards this direction by selling packs of skins that includes all the options so you can wear it alone or as a base and purchase add-on makeup packs to customize your look.
LeLutka – Gem (Light Brows)
LeLutka – Gem (Dark Brows)
The new Gem skins will be sold in two packs of four makeups each. Each pack also includes a base skin no makeup so it can be worn underneath add-on makeup packs very easily. Included with each Gem skin pack is two brows (Light and Dark) version, Eye bags tattoo (I love this so much!), Breast Enhancer tattoo, Blonde and Dark hair base tattoo, and a pair of sculpted LeLutka 2011 lashes/curl.
This pack of 12 tattoo lipsticks for Gem are sold separately, but they may work on Kit and other skins too (demo first!).
I’ll try to show the other add on packages at another time, but they’re absolutely stunning! There will be eye gems, fancy feather lashes, and eyeliners released on Friday as well.
Ooooooo YAY, I’m so excited Sweetest Goodbye is back again!!
Well there goes more of my money. 🙂
mhm i love that shop!fab
