I spent hours today moving my site to its own hosting account, cos I’m so fed up with it crashing whenever iheartsl is overloaded. So, here’s to the rest of 2010 and my site not crashing. YAY!

I’ll admit it, I love to tweak my avatar. I like tweaking my friends too, if they’ll let me tweak their shape (and sometimes without their permission too, like that one time I gave Wilma bigger and perkier boobs. And a few times after that, I tweaked other stuff but she noticed and yelled at me).
Over the past 3 years, I have made subtle but noticeable changes to my shape, to go with the skins I’m wearing or just to get bigger in size. My waist use to be a scary 35! I wouldn’t wear a shape that small now, but I liked it then.
This past week after reading all the gossip about Heidi Montag’s new face, I really think that the appeal of SL for many is the ability to have our sliders exactly how we want it. If you wanted more boobs, more height, more pouty lips, it’s just a click away.
Thankfully in SL, we can tweak as much as we want an it doesn’t cost a dime or possible complications. So happy tweaking!
What about you, do you like to tweak your face or has it remain unchanged over the years?
P.S., I’m keeping my ‘before’ face, but I like the ‘after’ too!

The movie was great, had great special effects and some really good actors in it. I didn’t care for some of the characters though, like the military guy, cos they made him totally cheesy and gave him predictable bad guy dialogues. I like bad guys who are likable too!! This was just plain bad and bad acting and bad hair and bad tan, LOL!

I love ball gowns but when I put them on, the skirt is often much too long for my avatar. Is my avatar too short or are designers making these gowns for taller “model sizes”? The height script thing says my avatar is at 5’11 and even taller with heels on.
My suggestion to dress makers: please make your skirts for Short and Tall avatars! Provide two lengths so I don’t have to mod the skirt myself. When I tried to resize the skirt for the gown I’m wearing here, the sculpted bustle disappeared into my torso, so I had to drag it forward and modify the bustle parts to fit. It’s not too complicated, but it would be nice if it just worked right out of the box, cos there are lots of people who would find this simple task difficult.
This is why I don’t blog ball gowns more often, cos the skirt annoys me. A couple of brands are just my size, but some of them are made for avatars with Amazon proportions.
P.S. I’m wearing the Nardcotix ‘Ella English Victorian Gown’, it’s very pretty! My friend Wilma saw me wearing this and asked if I was taking pics for a Disney ad, lol!

To answer my friend’s question — well, she really wasn’t asking ME specifically but I’m going to answer it anway. No, I don’t think it is bad that you feel this way BUT don’t judge the bloggers or designers for it — you should buy something if you like it. It doesn’t matter if others got it for free, because the time they spent blogging it and providing FREE advertising is worth more than the price of the product. Bloggers & SL Designers have a mutually beneficial relationship. I like stuff to blog, they like to sell more stuff. It is that simple.
If I told you that the majority of items featured on JuicyBomb were review copies, would it discourage you from spending your own money on them?
* For anybody that wants “FREE STUFF”, just start a blog. You’ll realize that the time and effort put into each blog entry is not worth the free items unless you really love blogging. And also, for every nice item you receive, be prepared for 10 more items that look like they belong back in 2006. Just sayin’. It’s hard work if you don’t love doing it!
