Faith Argentina
This Faith Argentina gown from Donna Flora is one of the most stunning gowns I’ve seen in a long time! I use to buy gowns a lot, back when there were only flexi gowns to choose from, but since the introduction of sculpts, and now mesh, I favor casual clothing more. Still, I couldn’t help but really want to wear this dress when I came across it on Donna Flora’s Flickr stream.
The gown, as seen here, is a gorgeous White, Blue & Gold color. I was surprised to see that it is not mesh, but just a sculpted attachment (without flexi). My friend asked me if I could take this gown out dancing, and I think not (it will not move fluidly) but of course, that doesn’t stop anyone on the grid!

Mopire Tokyo Subway Station
Merry Christmas Eve! I am exploring the Mopire Tokyo Subway Station, it’s modeled after a real life subway station in Japan. I could take photos for a whole month on this sim and all the photos would look different cos there are lots of cozy places and cafes to explores, in addition to the subway station.
I love my outfit today! Everything is from Ricielli, which is sort of one of my favorite brands in SL. I’ve said that before, right? I think they do sexy-casual clothes really well. The Rhea Sandals that I’m wearing includes a color-changing HUD to change all components of the sandals, so I was able to match it to my outfit perfectly.

When is a t-shirt more than a t-shirt? When it's a BOOM Essential T that comes with 4 different levels of sheerness! The Essential T has includes the Layerable, Sheer, Faded, and Regular fabric option (shown above). I like that this t-shirt is longer and reaches the waistband on pants, too.
The Layerable option is my favorite because you can pair it with very sexy lingerie underneath. The Essential T has great shading, it's one of the nicest sheer tops I've seen.

If you're talking about Gogo's shape, or the shapes in my shop (which are similar to my size, not fatter), I completely disagree. My shape is average, compared to other shapes in SL. There are very thin avatars, and there are avatars with a lot more fat/width. My shape is "fat" if you prefer sliders at 0.

Gogo is not "fat" and I've tried really hard over the past 2 years to add more boobs/body fat so that my avatar is not a stick, either. I'm annoyed when people do this… ~.~
Bye Bye Canimal
I’m willing to bet that a lot of people haven’t heard of Canimal. This brand was one of my favorites in SL way way back in uh.. 2007-2008. I never did like the skins but I loved the casual clothes and some accessories. I haven’t worn my Canimal items in a long time, so when I read that Canimal is closing, I wondered what took so long? Nothing new was released for over one and a half years, so it didn’t come as a surprise.
I wonder if Canimal Zephyr will relaunch under a new brand or is this truly goodbye?
My prediction is that in 2011, we will see lots of “oldbie” designers re-branding or launching new brands to stay fresh.
I’m posting a picture of a few of my favorite Canimal items from back in the day. These things are considered so-so now, the seams are more noticeable than before. I was pretty newb then so I didn’t know to look for seams, and they didn’t really matter that much then. Designers in SL have improved so much and we pretty much expect items to be seamless or pretty darn close.

Friday has just released a very sweet new Lounge Cami set perfect for lounging around in SL. I am wearing the Yellow set, but you can easily mix-and-match these with any of the solid colors available.
I’m not wearing sculpted hands today, but I am wearing these cute new Pixel Mode Sculpted Nails (V2) in Glitter. Sculpted prim nails are a great addition to create a more realistic hand effect and get rid of “ugly” default hands. If you don’t want to take the plunge and wear a fully sculpted hand, try sculpted nails!
I was so excited when I bought these PM Glitter nails cos it includes a smaller size 10 for people with smaller hands (like me) but I really want size 15 and this pack didn’t have it. The old v2 Gloss nails that I have didn’t have size 10, so I wrote Tya Fallingbridge a notecard to see if she’d send me size 10 (since she has updated them to include size 10 as well) but she never responds to notecards. Ever. At least not to me, but some of you guys might have better luck or you’ll be out of luck if you ever want any type of customer service.
A couple of people said that they thought I photoshopped the joints on my sculpted hand post, so I am including a close-up of the SLink Jolie Pied (feet) that I’m wearing here to show that I do not PS my images. You can clearly see a slight ‘line’ on the joints on these feet too. SLink’s product is amazing, it really doesn’t need any extra PS “help” – but I am really flattered when people think that though, since I try to make my snapshots as nice as possible in-world so that I just have to crop ’em for use on blog posts.
I bought a new skybox today, it is the La Maison Kaestner Je suis a Paris skybox (available on Marketplace only), and it goes perfectly well with the newest Laurel Living Room set from What Next.
New Clouds for Second Life

Tired of looking at the same old clouds? Check out these gorgeous new clouds, first available in the Firestorm viewer over three weeks ago. I don’t use a Third Party Viewer, so I didn’t get a chance to play with them, until Ziki showed me how to get these gorgeous clouds in the official Second Life Viewer too!
Vincent Nacon created the cloud files, and has a clouds tutorial for Firestorm posted on the Second Life Forum.
If you want these files in the official Second Life viewer, just download the clouds2.tga file, and replace the existing clouds2.tga file in your Second Life folder on your computer. Read Vincent’s tutorial to get the download links for the .tga files.
Find Clouds2.tga in your Second Life folder at (or elsewhere, it depends on your computer):
C:Program Files (x86)SecondLifeViewerapp_settingswindlightclouds2.tga
After you replace the clouds2.tga file, relog. You’ll have to do this each time you want to play with a different cloud type, at least until the official viewer includes a drop-down menu for multiple cloud options.
I use the Starlight Skin by Hitomi Tiponi with my sl viewer, so maybe he can add a drop-down menu! *crosses fingers*
