Moodz has just released two really adorable gowns, they're knee-length party dresses that are so adorable! I'm wearing the Moodz Lettie gown in Teal, Pink, and Hot Pink.
This is the Moodz Copperpot Gown, and the textures are shinier than the Lettie gown. It also has a sexy plunging neckline and low cut back.
Right now Moodz is having a huge sale everything ranging from skins to clothes. Some items are as low as $5L! All skins are on sale for $199L for a 10-pack and wings are $75L.
I've modded the Mirai Style 'Daie' hair a bit (moved some prims away from the face) for today, I really like how it turned out. It was very easy to do, took only a few minutes and viola, new hairstyle! 🙂
The LOLO Pet Shop has just released these adorable tiny Mesh Birds, and they’re just my kind of pet in SL. These birds do not need to be fed, they don’t need attention (petting, playing), and you can’t even breed them! Just buy one bird, or a few birds (if you want to collect all the colors) and watch these lil’ darlings fly around you OR set it to perch on top of your shoulder.
The LOLO Mesh Birds is scripted with these functions: follow fly, follow walk, roam small, roam, roam large, fly, sleep (reset), chill, walk, rename, and name display.
These birds have transfer permission only, so they’ll make a great gift but you’ll have to be careful not to lose them!
Check out these awesome Pink & Hot Pink Team Lizzie t-shirts! We got it custom made from T Junction, the best t-shirt shop in Second Life! If you’re looking for a quick & effective way to send a message or brighten a friend’s day, I would suggest a custom t-shirt! 🙂
P.S., I have a lot of these.. so if you want one, please leave a comment with your FULL NAME.
As I was browsing through my Google reader this morning, I stumbled upon a blog post about the newly launched SLoupon. Even without clicking on the link, I’m already weary of the concept. I jokingly told my friends that the name reminds me of SLop Soup (aka pig’s soup). To date, I’ve only redeemed two Groupon purchases irl, both were for restaurant items. Anyway, SLoupon is NOTHING like the RL Groupon at all – which requires NO monthly subscription fee for shoppers. The appeal of Groupon is to buy something worth more, for a fraction of the cost.
With SLoupon, it seems like the only company benefiting, is SLoupon itself.
As a merchant:
You have to split profits with SLoupon
You’re selling at a discount
As a shopper:
You have to pay $350L month to join
You’re buying an item in a random color decided by the merchant
As a shopper, I refuse to pay a monthly fee to have the pleasure of giving designers my money!
Being a part of SLoupon, the first and only Group Discount System in Second Life, means being a part of SL history. <— Sorry SLoupon, that already happened years ago.
Read more about the site here and some merchant info here. It doesn’t seem that beneficial to me, cos most discount items are sold at $50L-$100L already, so with the price of $350L monthly, I expect to have items given to me (like My SecondBox) or buy several items from any of the sales/discount deals events without paying a monthly fee!
Do you think SL consumers will embrace this ‘concept’ ? I’m not generally a fan of paid subscriptions in SL, especially if I have to pay to join, and then pay to buy the items too!
Every single time a hair store runs a 50% sale, they launch new textures shortly after the sale. I was pleasantly surprised by the new Magika hair textures – so realistic! I’m a fan of hair stores including all of the colors in one single hud, for one price, and not even the usual “fatpack” prices that clothing brands charge, but just a few hundred lindens ($370L at Magika).
seVan just released some really cute dresses in their new clothes shop. I love short girlie dresses that are perfect for doing nothing…… 😛 When I have kids, I want the seVan Danica dress in RL because it looks like it would make a really cute maternity dress!
Let’s talk a bit more about the new Ridgewood Enclave Commercial shops.
It’s clear that Second Life is still learning and refining things as they go. Since launch just a few weeks ago, we’ve already seen several covenant revisions, likely to better serve residents and clarify expectations. Personally, I’m fine with the rules as they stand, and I plan to keep my current shop long term. I’m Premium Plus Lifetime, after all. I’m not going anywhere.
When I first blogged about these shops two weeks ago, I was settled in a different region with my friends. We hadn’t planned to move. These shops are always in high demand, and being together matters most to us. But when new regions released last week, an opportunity came up, so we decided to move together. We abandoned our shops and claimed new ones at Plaza Mercantile.
I couldn’t be happier. We’re together again, and this time the region has a central pool and plenty of parking, which makes it feel even more complete.

I don’t have huge commercial ambitions, but I do enjoy having a shop in Second Life. For me, it’s less about business and more about shared experiences with friends. Right now, that experience just happens to be setting up our shops together. From the start, I knew that our enjoyment would depend on clustering near each other so we can promote and support one another. Unlike Linden Homes, where location can be everything, Linden Shops feel more about community than coordinates. That said, I still wanted both. Great neighbors and a beautiful location. I feel like I’ve found that here, and I don’t plan to move again unless a new theme is released.
Tonight, I spent far too long learning how to properly drive and park my cars in front of the shop just to get photos. The 30 minute auto return is honestly a bit tight. My car kept disappearing before I could even take a picture. Still, I love the idea of being able to park outside. It adds so much life to the region.

Even with the current demand, I don’t think Second Life should overdo it with these shops. Yes, they’re incredibly appealing, especially since they’re free with Premium Plus, but part of what makes them special is their scarcity. If there are too many, it risks turning into a sea of empty storefronts, and no one wants to be in a dead mall.
Right now, my region feels active and lively, partly because I’m blogging and sharing it on social media. But maintaining that energy across many regions is another challenge entirely. The Lindens and Moles will likely have their hands full enforcing the covenant, so they’ll need to balance expansion with sustainability.
One last thought. I still think these shops should be placed a bit farther from residential areas. Not everyone wants the glow of a neon storefront outside their bedroom window.
