I’m so excited about these new Exile hair textures! I’ve snapped a random assortment of 20 colors that I thought were fantastic, but there are LOTS more choices available. Brunettes and Red Heads will LOVE these, cos while I was photographing I noticed that I liked so many of them. Here are the colors that I picked out, listed in order:
Row 1: aqua, auburn, blizzard, candy, champagne
Row 2: chestnut, chili, coffee, copper, whiskey
Row 3: earth, fall, greystone, harlow, hotstreak
Row 4: kindred, mink, nutmeg, pearl, tropic
I don’t know when the new styles & textures will be out, but I hope you liked the sneak peek 🙂
Welcome to the Adult Hub, a region meant for residents over 18. It seems that Second Life has built a tasteful adult playground with beaches, clubs, pools, dancing areas, camping areas, waterfalls, all for new residents. New residents are guided to enter the Adult Hub through a portal at the Welcome Hub. Established residents can come too, and they can teleport directly to the Adult Hub. To enter, you must change your maturity rating to Adult and agree to the region rules. However, there’s no real age verification in Second Life, so technically it’s still possible that underage players could access the Adult Hub.
When I heard about Second Life launching a sex region, I was prepared to be grossed out. Ew, why? Why does Second Life want to attract people who come here wanting sex on day 1? Why make that the opening experience for new residents? But I visited the Adult Hub with an open mind and left with a deeper understanding of why Second Life made this.
Back in December 2023, Second Life teased that “Something Spicy” was coming. It was this Adult Hub, but for reasons that didn’t launch then, it launched now in March 2026. Is Second Life now ready for adults to come, along with their shiny new (sorta working) mobile app?
This is an adult game, and some adult areas in Second Life aren’t moderated. Anything goes. It can be scary and overwhelming. This feels more like a controlled environment for adults entering that side of Second Life, especially those who may appreciate moderation and tasteful decor.
Not everything on this region is about sex. There are lots of seating areas set up for conversations. Sex is one activity, but it’s well hidden inside the furniture. You don’t see pose balls anywhere, and the hints of sex are subtle.
My time wandering around this region as a 1 day old avatar, I only met established residents. Not a single new resident in sight. Not yet. A Second Life Mentor greeted me, and everyone I encountered was nice. They flocked to my noob avatar, introduced themselves, and tried to include me in conversation. That was nice. I think current residents are really trying to make new people feel welcome and stay. Maybe for the platform’s survival.
Even though I was prepared to run away from here and never look back, I think I’d go back as my main avatar. It’s an Adult Hub, but it’s not just a sex space. It feels more like a general adult social area where different things can happen. Of course my experience could be rare. This region could eventually turn into a full sex dungeon, dicks everywhere, nude avatars everywhere. But at least today, everyone I saw was wearing clothes. There are rules though, so be sure to read them while you’re here.
My overall thought is that this is nice. There should be more well designed areas like this for all types of experiences. I guess Second Life felt Adult was the draw, and I hope their gamble pays off.
Hi there! I’m Cake, contributing artist to the Chelle team. I’m dressed in bright colors today to talk to you about our latest lip gloss release.
You may have noticed that instead of the usual six colors Chelle releases for lipstick, we’ve put out a full range of 18. Why? The reason why, is because you asked for it to happen!
With our new range, however, some may be confused about what looks best on them. So, here’s a tip:
Juicy Gloss I is for everybody. Just like with our Mean Reds lipstick collection, we created a range of colors where half of it looks more natural on you, while the other half is a bit dressier. Those who wear darker skins will find the darker and purple tones to be more suited for natural/casual wear, while the brighter pinks and reds are a bolder look for them. Those who wear lighter skins will find the exact opposite to be true.
Juicy Gloss II is more favored for darker skins. You will find more tones in this collection to benefit you, if you have tan to deep brown skin tone. The darkest tone we tested for this collection, is Glam Affair’s Gitana 02. Here’s a before and after using our Goth shade:
Juicy Gloss III is favored more for lighter skin tones. The colors are bright and blend in best on a fairer skin color. If you wear a tan skin tone, it will look good on you as well.
Chocolate (Brown) is not a color that I wear often, so I thought I would try it today instead of picking something predictable, like Blush (Pink). This new Brie dress from Ingenue (available at Collabor88) has a mesh skirt attachment, similar to the Mon Tissu skirt that I blogged awhile ago. The skirt part of this dress is seamless, and so beautiful and easy to wear.
What I’m Wearing:
Truth – Petra (Roots) Champagne
Ingenue – Brie Dress (Chocolate) Collabor88
SLink – Glitter Peeptoes
Yummy – Simple Pearl Necklace Collabor88
I've been reviewing skins for awhile now, and I'm still excited when I discover a new skin shop. This skin review, will be my 39th this year! Last year, I have reviewed over 37 skins, so I was pretty excited that it's only June and I've already beat my own record. If designers keep creating the way they do, I probably will review twice the number of skins this year than last.
Anyways… onto the skins!
[ dhR skins – Natural skin tone ]
dhR is a skin brand previously unknown to me, I have never demo'ed these skins until this morning and totally fell in-love with the face. These skins include tons of options, you'll feel completely spoiled because each makeup includes 3 brows colors (light brown, brown, and grey), and two lips version (sheer and gloss).

[ dhR skins – Natural skin tone – 3 different brows color ]
[ dhR skins – Natural skin tone – sheer or gloss lips ]
The dhR skin has a beautiful body, the skin tone is a bit glossy but I really like that look a lot. It adds the skin and makes it more realistic looking.
[ dhR skins – free gift skin with purchase ]
Right now, if you purchase any skin at dhR, you will get this special gift skin for free as part of the grand opening campaign. It has gorgeous bright blue makeup, and not sold as part of the skin packs.
Truth released the Restless Denim jeans and Second Hand Jacket this week in a bunch of colors. I thought the mintcream went really well with this skin, since they're both soft and vintage looking.
This look is really cute, it could totally be a new 'me' ~ I won't take it off until the next review! 😛
What I'm Wearing:
dhR – Natural Skins Tekuteku – Cotton (Pink) Hair Dark Mouse – Flights of Fancy Necklace Truth – Restless Denim Truth – Second Hand Jacket (mintcream) Insolence – Emily Pink Tulle Set (Lingerie) Sakka's Studio – Flat Shoes /Sash (Green)
AOHARU has just released two new jackets!! One is the Tailored Jacket that includes sculpted attachments and looks sleek! I'm also wearing the Tailored Jacket set in soft pink, that includes short pants and a sunglasses attachment for the jacket pocket. Cute!
I normally don't sport short hair but Kin makes super cute stuff! Love this 'Angel' hairstyle in White! I wish Kin Keiko offered a Platinum blonde hair color cos her blonde is a lil on the brown side for me 🙁
Skin: Gala – Classic-Sienna and Classic-Twilight Hair: Kin – Angel (White)
The style and cut looks fabulous to me, so does the coloring. It would be really awsome if you could drop us a short note when Exile releases the new style to the customer … 😉
Thanks in advance and for the sneak peak, Gogo .. 🙂
Best wishes,
Hepzibah
