Jewelry in SL gets better and better every year. Some of my favorite “must have” brands are long gone from SL, but there are newer designers to take their place.
If you haven’t heard… Jewelry Fair 2010 opens this Friday! The event runs from October 8th – October 17th!

Truth releases new hair!!! I’m wearing the Rebecca, Candice, Yvonne, and Tanya in Mocha. What I love about Truth is that there are so many Browns to choose from!! I’m forever changing my mind about whether I like Mocha, Chocolate, Espresso, Treacle, Walnut… more.

Blog readers always ask me for tips on enhancing Second Life photos with AI tools, and honestly I don’t think I’m very good at it. Still, I decided to dive back into Krea.ai and see if I could enhance my avatar with ultra realistic hair and skin texture. I’ve tried a few other AI tools, but I personally think Krea is the easiest.
Have you ever seen a Second Life ad where the face looks almost real and the hair texture is so good that it can’t be Second Life? That is usually AI enhancement. It can be deceiving, even when people say the product is untouched. Once you add AI, your eyes get tricked and the product does look slightly better.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Second Life has come a long way. My avatar has never looked better to me, but I rezzed into system hair and system clothes back in the day, and I think I was even wearing system skin. So maybe my idea of amazing is a little skewed, but I also think Second Life avatars have peaked. Can we even get any better?
I don’t know what process or tools other people are using, but I think the easiest way to add detail is to enhance with an AI tool and then blend the two photos in Photoshop. You don’t have to keep the entire AI generation, just blend enough so it still looks like your avatar.
AI tools are still too expensive. I like to play around with video generation and I can burn through a month of credits in an hour. I paid $10 a month to test different models in Krea, but you can use the free version too.
Even if you don’t love the deception of AI, it’s here to stay. I’m not encouraging anybody to do this, but I wanted to share since so many people have asked me for tips.
I don’t have a premium account because I do not own any mainland parcels. That 100US/year or less membership fee is nothing compared to the outrageous island fee that I pay each month. So quit your bitching, kthx.
Instead of thinking of ways to restrict people from the grid, or who deserves to be on more, I think LL should definitely find ways to ensure that everybody that wants to login can login. As an island/biz owner I want more residents online happily shopping away, NOT LESS. KTHX.
Today I’m not the Queen of Juicy, I’ve decided to join the darker side and become the Pirate Princess of Exile. I’m loving these made up titles for myself!! It’s like Game of ThroneSL. House JUICY? House EXILE? Where are my alliances!
How do you really feel about gacha? I would have loved to buy the complete Pirate Wench dress from Alchemy in Red but of course that was a rare, and I didn’t get it. I was lucky to even get this one dress, and a pile of mismatched eye-patches and hats. I’m alright with Sky Blue, so I paired it with the Adored Bow from SpellBound that I picked up earlier this week. It was probably better that I didn’t get the hat in my dress color, since I don’t really know how I would fit hair under it. That’s my gacha adventure for today…. Arrrrrr!
Also a big thank you to people who said they liked that I’m blogging more. I’m really happy that you’re still reading my blog, even though it has become somewhat of a #selfies place.

These two newly released hairstyles from Exile are rigged mesh, and sooooo pretty! They may be my favorite mesh hair so far this year, cos everything just falls into place, and no alpha prims are in the way obstructing my lashes! I love thisssssss….. and they’ll also be perfect for skin photography cos it shows off the face very well.
I think I haven’t worn anything from Whippet & Buck since mid-2010 cos the designer (Dakota Buck) said that my look was generic and dated, and that I am not a fashion blogger but a shopping blogger. I guess it offended me a bit, so I deleted every W&B item from my inventory and overlooked all the new releases for about a year and a half now? I will say that I don’t mind if my blog/look is not everyone’s cup of tea, but I see a lot of bloggers/shoppers wearing W&B items that I would consider far more dated than me or even more generic. If some designers only want certain people to shop at their brand or blog their items, they should make that clear… so generic people don’t make the mistake of showing their brand any love.
Since I’m on the official press team for Collabor88, I’ve decided to give W&B another whirl. Hope you guys like the lingerie, it’s quite lovely and is available at this month’s Collabor88 event.
