Save yourself, don’t go to The Arcade. I normally skip rounds and avoid gacha events, but I saw something I wanted this week. Even though I told my friend I’d play maybe two or three times for these Rift Eyes from Avi Glam, I ended up playing 69 times at L$75 per pull. It’s five times more than I’d normally pay for an Avi Glam eyes fatpack, and honestly, I don’t even think I would’ve paid for a fatpack if it had been sold normally.
The thing with gacha is that it can be very addictive, especially if you want to win a rare and you don’t have a set budget, so you don’t have to stop. You can just keep playing until you win. I gave up on winning the Rare 2 pack on the first day after about forty or fifty pulls and decided to buy it second hand on Marketplace. Then the next day, when I didn’t see anything listed, I played some more. I haven’t played a machine with this much intensity in a long time, so it even surprised me how quickly I lost track of my spending or how fast I was hitting the buy button.
In hindsight, I should’ve stuck to my rule of playing only two or three times per machine, but I ended up going all in on two machines and playing way too many times to collect all the pieces.
Even though I find gacha frustrating, I get the dopamine rush it gives. If you win something you really want right away, it feels amazing. If you find yourself on the losing end, try to remember that you can always buy it later on Marketplace for a fraction of the cost of playing.
Eventually, I did see a few sets listed on Marketplace, but by then, I’d already spent nearly L$6,000 on one machine. Oops.

Welcome to the cutest cabin in SL! I feel terrible for you guys who didn’t get a chance to join the Djinn & Tonic subscribo, because yesterday’s group gift is so darn cute! I wanted to blog it yesterday, but I ended up obsessing over the House & Garden hunt, and then… didn’t really do much else. It was Sunday!
Luckily, this fully furnished Count the Hours home is available for purchase at the .44 Caliber Mainstore. I think the brand is Djinn & Tonic [Home] and it is Babyhoney Bailey’s newest addition to her current brand, Djinn & Tonic. I get confused easily when one person has too many brands, but I think they all belong to Bho, so if you can’t locate it (I couldn’t, but then again, I get lost easily), just send Bho a message.
The cabin may be small in size, but it packed with decor and cozy places to sit. The prim count is 225, but you can always add/remove things. Everything is copy/mod.
My favorite pose built into the loft area. This is a great pose for when I’m zoning out in SL!

Surf Co – Maranna [Fringe Bangs, Long Shag Bangs, Part Bangs, No Bangs, Retro Bangs]
Surf Co has just released some hair!! Well, for now it’s just one new Maranna hairstyle with 5 different bang choices. The headband is also texture-changeable and completely adorable. I think this hair really works for a retro or “hippie” look, but the hair is sculpted so it will sink into your shoulders in most poses.

Fair is the newest monthly themed event from Chic Management. My favorite item from this first cycle, is the Food Tray from Pilot. I love a nice juicy burger, and mmm, virtual food is a feast for the eyes.
These new Studded Booties from SLink needed a close-up picture, so you guys can see all the studs! Aren’t they just amazing? If you stomp around the grid in these, your shoes can double as a deadly weapon.

I use to think that Campers were the worst theme. They only came with half the prims, half the land, and some random claustrophobic horse trailers. But I’ve recently changed my mind about campers… cos Chalet is now the worst theme. I’ll write about Chalets in another post, so let’s turn our attention back to campers.

I think it’s pretty unheard of for any seller out there to not offer demos of their shapes and it surprises me that you still haven’t come around. What’s the reason?
In the end it’s of course your choice, but I sure don’t understand it.
I don’t get why you don’t have demos, still.. And you wont answer these questions. The shape looks SO beautiful! But i just wont buy something without a demo.
I don’t offer demos at this time, but I may consider it in the future.

I was reluctant to spend the Lindens on a shape that I could not demo. However, I thought I could always mod it back to my old shape if it was not to my liking. I am SO HAPPY with my purchase of the ‘Summer’ Shape you created! It is the most real shape I have seen in SL in a long time.
I did mod it a bit to make it ‘my own’ but I changed very little and I cannot stop trying on all my old outfits with this great shape! THANK YOU!
