Djinn & Tonic and Lelutka Eclat

Djinn & Tonic have just released this adorable Houndstooth jacket, in a bunch of seasonal colors. Each jacket includes sculpted collar, cuffs, and a prim jacket attachment. I'm pairing my outfit with one of my favorite pair of pants from LeeZu, the Brit Pants, which I've worn many times. I loove the textures & cuffs on these pants.

All you lovely addicts please don't kill me!! I'm so excited I got a sneak peek of Lelutka's Eclat skins that will be released on October 10th. They're beautiful and they have tons of new details that were not on previous releases (you'll have to wait and seee!!!!).

Hello from The Trace! Today I finally changed my outfit and decided to go see this lovely sim that I saw featured on Ziki’s blog. I haven’t felt too inspired lately, cos I don’t like scary things. I’m trying my best to enjoy the rest of autumn in SL without spiders, gore, death, etc. If you’re into that stuff, there are lots of events now with items in that genre, but ME? I WANT A NICE AUTUMN!
Do you know of any more autumn sims in SL that are not scary? Let me know in the comments!

It’s already been a year since Glam Affair collaborated with Not Found to create the Ethereal Essence body skins. I tried wearing it for a while back then, but the shine was a bit too much for me, and I couldn’t get past my initial impressions. I ended up switching to Session Athena body skins, which I still love. That said, I’ve been wanting to go back to Ethereal Essence because the tones match my face skin perfectly without any blending or adjustments. I really wish Session would release something in those tones because they work so well together.
Anyway, onto this new body skin. I say this every time, but did I need another one? No. Did I want one that was actually made to match my face skin perfectly? Yes. I tried on the new Idol body skins from Ethereal Essence and the first thing I noticed was the reduced shine. There’s still some shine around the collarbones and shoulders, but the torso looks so much better now. This body skin also comes with several add on options to adjust or enhance the navel, vagina, cleavage, bone definition, thigh folds, and more. Overall, I’m really happy with both the options and how it looks. I would still add a few of Izzie’s tattoos that I like, such as body veins, foot tendons, and other small details that most people probably will not notice, but I will.
If you’re wearing Glam tones in the 001 to 020 range, definitely check out the new Ethereal Essence body skin because it is a perfect match.
Also don’t miss the Ethereal Beauty Hunt from March 29 to April 12. To celebrate the launch of the Idol body skin line, a few brands are doing free hunts for skins and cosmetics. There is a really nice Glam Affair skin available for free. I’m wearing the lipstick from the Linny gift skin in this post. You can get all 20 tones, you just have to find the gifts hidden around the Glam Affair store.

Exile; Hair Fair 2011
Hair Fair 2011 is almost here!! The fair opens to the public on July 2nd, but you can try some demos today — just join the Hair Fair DEMO Group in-world to receive them.
I signed up to be a part of Hair Fair Bloggers Day, so I was able to sneak in this morning and take some photos. I used the SLurls list on the HF blog, and was able to locate all of the brands I wanted to see pretty quickly.
ALL hairstyles have at Hair Fair have some proceeds donated to charity, so you don’t really have to worry about that when shopping at this event.
Like previous fairs, there are lots of fabulous new styles & freebies/dollarbies, so come check it out!
I couldn’t decide which brand to blog first, so I’ll just go with one of my favorite brands in SL. Exile hair has 5 new hairstyles out, and they’re all for girls (sorry guys!). I am not complaining though, cos more hair for meeeeeeeeeee.

I bought this Nippon Love Parka1.3 Usagi from TOSL (by Quinlan Quimby) at the Pacific Crisis Fundraiser event. On the vendor ad, I thought it looked pretty good so I bought the parka and matching wellies.
I’m so disappointed that both of these items were set to 0.03 glow! Thankfully every prim was mod, so I turned glow off, but it’s so unnatural looking and I really don’t understand why designers think that setting clothing items to glow is nice. Glow is only acceptable on small accessories otherwise it’s just creepy (like a glowing spirit).

In certain Windlight settings, the glow is more prominent and really blindinggggg!!
So this is my PSA to designers, please stop glowing your stuff, kthx.

Virtual Girl
Hi! It’s been a while since I’ve written, right? Well, I’m back in SL (Whiskey inspired me to return) and here to show you something awesome I’ve been doing.
First of all, I look way different! I’m wearing the Kemono avatar and the M3 anime head from Utilizator so I look more like these cartoon girls behind me. But why match them, you ask? That’s because I’ve been painting them!
I recently won and art fellowship with Red Bull, where I’ve been given a couple of months to create a new body of work. At the end of the fellowship, I’ll reveal all of the pieces at an opening in Detroit, Michigan. The internet has influenced me a lot as an artist, so I decided to focus on the net and women in general for this collection. I’m especially interested in online avatars, Tumblr, and how women express themselves (artsy NSFW warning) through these mediums.
Throughout the collection, there’s also commentary slipped in about the crap women put up with in dealing with sleazebags, dating disasters, subtle racism, and all the fun stuff that comes with not being at the top of the social food chain.
Here’s a picture of me painting Airedine, of the now-defunct store Adore & Abhor:
I picked out a couple of avatars (and their real-life counterparts) to work into the exhibit, as well. Not everyone will fit in this round, but I’m going to be painting in this style for a while. It’s been great painting inspiring avatars in this collection, because I get to work in an aspect of that player into the painting. I’m looking forward to meeting even more people to paint in the future.
How has the internet influenced how you express yourself? Who do you think is more attractive–you, or your avatar?
If you want to grab some of the paintings I have in-world so far,
five(FOUR! I can count!) of them are available. Nine more will be added next week:You can buy them by visiting my store here!
What I’m Wearing:
Kemono Avatar
M3 Anime Avatar Head
Kemono skin and eyes: Custom! I’ll sell them soon 🙂
Hair: Exile – Kissing Strangers
Clothing: All from Krankhaus!

I saw my blog pictures in there a few times as well. Not sure if that’s good or not. LOL
It’s nice being lumped into an overall label by a squeaky-voiced (and yes, I can tell beyond the voice affect) know-it-all, eh? Fashion blogs… heck ANY subject of blog is insanely easy to avoid. We’re at least using creativity to showcase the works of talented people in SL rather than just be boring and whiny about something innocuous. WOSL… pot, meet kettle!
