The title is totally cheesy, I know.

After putting together today’s outfit, I needed a pretty sim to photograph in, so I visited Yse Ah’s blog. Her blog is an amazing resource to find nice locations for photos, and I use it all the time. When I saw her post about the Amia sim, I had to check it out.

Just a couple of days ago, I saw someone blog a rainy picture that looked amazing. The rain effect was done with Photoshop, but since I can’t really do all of that (lack of PS skills), I decided to use the NODe umbrella, which is scripted with a stunning rain effect. YAY!

Have you seen these lovely new Gos (Mesh) Wellingtons? I had originally wanted to re-create a Rainbow Bright costume using SL items, but I couldn’t think of a nice Rainbow dress, but I customized the shoes & wore some Rainbow socks anyway! These (Sheer) Frank Rainbow Amortentia tights from Schadenfreude are amazing but they lacked nice sculpted cuffs, so I borrowed some from my Maitreya Moxie Over-Knees Socks, and tinted it the same color.

The Gos Wellingtons are available in 12 colors, but scripted to change Strap, Lip, Sole, and Boot color so you can create many different combinations.

Are you guys ready for a whole lotta footwear? Mon Tissu has just released the Heathrow Boots (Rigged Mesh) in six colors, Sloane Pumps (regular sculpts) in eight colors, and Favorite Wool Tights in a whole bunch of colors!!

These pumps are sooo sexy! My go-to shoes are often a pair of simple heels cos they’re low lag & they work with everything.

The Heathrow Boots are Rigged Mesh, so you’ll need to be using a mesh-enabled viewer to see these properly. These boots no mod, but they should fit most avatar cos they will stretch with your height and includes alpha layer.

SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots

I found this darling outfit from Marketplace, and it has a sculpted Leather Bra, which matches perfectly with the new SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots I’m wearing. With a lil’ bit of adjustments, I was able to get this outfit to fit reasonably well and also, not wear the leather shirt texture layer. This Sonya dress from Crissy Designs is $100L (so cheap!) and is the cutest ‘whore’ outfit I could find that is still cute, not tacky.

Now onto SLink’s newest Tall Leather Thigh Boots! They’re mesh so they bend and work with all poses!

What I found interesting about these particular mesh boots (my very first pair of mesh shoes), is that they come with one single attachment. There’s no Left and Right shoe, the whole thing is just… together. This is how it looks inside my inventory, with the boots worn:

The SLink boots comes with 4 sizes to choose from. To my surprise, my avatar is Curvy! I think Gogo is pretty small, so erm, if your legs have muscle bigger than 50 and your fat sliders are bigger than mine, you’ll prob have to move onto the Plus size, or ask for a custom fitting.

The SLink Tall Leather Thigh Boots comes in 10 colors! I noticed that these boots do not have any ‘options’ like some previous SLink shoes. I wonder if that’s a mesh limitation? There’s no HUD, so there’s no option to change sole color, heel color, or anything like that.

If you’re not on a viewer capable of viewing mesh, I guess you’ll be seeing a whole lot of boxes in SL! These boots are a-m-a-zing. I don’t know if I will purchase “regular” sculpt boots ever again.

Maitreya Bare Feet

I can’t stop staring at these new Maitreya Bare Feet! The bare feet are so realistic and youthful, and so easy to wear. For these Bare Feet, Maitreya has added an additional Match + option on the HUD that can toggle the ankle gradient on/off. I’m wearing the feet with it “on” here, and I really like how it smooths out the ankle seam.

I love the nail colors on these toes! If only changing nail colors IRL was this easy!

Although there are several Bare Feet in SL, these are my current favorite ones. I like the texture on these Maitreya feet, and also the length and size of the toes. It’s so perfect as it is already, the only thing I can think of that might make it “better” is more nail colors (designs).

I shot these photos with Light & Shadows unchecked (no shadows), and used the recommended skin preset for my Pink Fuel (Elly) skin in Honey. It matches perfectly with shadows turned off. If you like photos with Light & Shadows on (like I do), you’ll probably have to tweak the recommended settings a bit.

Treads has just released a gorgeous pair of 77 Loafers in so many colors, and I think these are unisex! Each pair of shoes comes in Small and Large size, but these shoes are also mod, so you can resize ’em however you want.

I’m pairing the Pistache colored loafers with one of my favorite dresses from AOHARU, the OffShoulderGauzeTunic, in Flower (Blue) print.

Kawaii Pocky

Shoe Fair 2011 starts today, May 14th and runs through May 27th. I’ve been going to shoe fair every year, some years with more enthusiasm than others. From what I’ve seen so far, the build is amazing and also, the shoes are the best they’ve ever been. I’m so happy some brands have totally new styles available exclusively at the fair.

Bloggers were given early access to the fair to check out the build & shop, so I tried to snap a couple of pictures of the build. Isn’t it stunning? This is my favorite shoe fair build, it’s so posh and clean.

These new LeLutka K.I.A shoes are so swoonalicious!!!!! These are the first LeLutka shoes with feet, although it is not entirely uncovered, I think this is a sign that LeLutka may have some more styles in the future that comes with sculpted feet. The textures & sculpts on these shoes are realistic and beautiful, and also comes with an easy to use HUD to tint skin texture and change toe nail colors.

I really appreciate the lil’ details like the slightly worn soles, nice zippers & sitching. A lot of people may never notice some of these this details, but I did and I love LeLutka so much for doing it.

My look is inspired by Pocky! I borrowed the look from Miss Shibuya Sugar (or more well-known as Iris Ophelia), I hope she doesn’t mind sharing some of her Pocky with me. They were $25L and they look exactly like the real Pocky, only it didn’t come with a Pocky box! 🙁

Maitreya Shearling Boots & Scrunched PrimSocks

Maitreya has two adorable footwear releases this week! These new Shearling Boots are gorgeous and is scripted to change Laces, Metal and Straps color. This can be worn with alpha or (the old) invisiprim version – I personally love alpha cos it doesn’t interfere with poses or when shadows is enabled!

Here is a pair of Shearling Boots in Bistre with one example of what a simple re-color can do; the possibilities are endless with all the color choices offered.

Have you seen the new Maitreya Scrunched PrimSocks? These PrimSocks are scripted to change appearance to Flat, Tip Toe, or Hide Feet (to wear with any shoes). The cuffs are also scripted to change colors!

Winter Doll

I loooove the new Anzhelina hat and Irinushka bolero from LeLutka. I saw someone wearing this and knew I had to have it! I’m normally not a hat girl cos I don’t like fitting hair under ’em but this hat is huge and fluffy! Lots of hairstyles will fit under here with minimal adjustments.

Hucci released a gorgeous new Naomi Dress with a sculpted prim top attachment that fits so well. My boobs are size 60, and I didn’t have to stretch this at all (I just moved it around a bit). I’m so happy one of the new SLink Blair boots (in Navy) matches perfectly with the Naomi Dress (in Klein Blue).

The SLink Blair boots comes in 8 colors and includes a HUD to resize, turn invisiprims on/off, and turn the socks on/off.
