Do you know about Void lashes? I’ve seen this brand gain popularity and support from various creators, so I decided to find out what it’s all about. I absolutely love the default LeLutka lashes that are attached to the mesh head, so I never felt the need for a third-party add-on. However, I woke up yesterday and decided to delve into Void lashes.
Void is created by a resident named Pure Void. Their marketplace store showcases a selection of lashes that are rigged for various popular mesh heads. I decided to get a demo of the popular Void Demure Lashes, and to do so, I had to teleport to the store. To access the store in-world, you must accept the land experience. At first, I was annoyed by this, but once I visited the store and experienced the region design and animation sequence, I was thoroughly impressed. It adds so much to the shopping experience, making you feel as though you’re stepping into the introduction of an anime movie.
I chose the Void Demure lashes because I wanted to wear them with Mila’s Obscura Eyelashes. This motivated me to learn more about Void lashes, because I love all of Mila’s lashes and wanted to wear these as well. Although the Void lashes are pricey at L$1,499, they come with a customization HUD and are rigged for numerous mesh heads. Upon opening the EvoX package, I found a version for each of LeLutka’s heads, including the latest, Camila. This indicates that Void continually provides updates, making it a worthwhile investment.
The lashes allow you to wear the top, mid, and bottom lashes or turn them off entirely. I have only seen people wear these lashes with all three options, and they often appeared somewhat droopy and busy to me. I was very glad to discover that I could turn off the mid lashes! Additionally, there’s a HUD for customizing the gems and toggling the alpha settings between blend and mask. I highly recommend using blend mode because when you set it to alpha mask mode, it can look like chunky spider legs on your face. While some may appreciate that aesthetic, it simply does not resonate with me.
Blend vs Alpha Mask mode
Overall, I believe the reason that residents are choosing to wear Void lashes is that they offer a different look compared to the lashes included with their head of choice. They can also be longer, more intense, and come in various shapes. Personally, I felt that the Void lashes gave my eyes a hint of droopiness, yet they also appear quite dramatic.
If you’re looking for something different, check out Void lashes! Even if you’re not, the store is worth a visit; it provides the best land experience I have encountered in Second Life.
“Hey Cake! Where’ve you been?” Drawing comics for money and enjoying life. I’m working on a comic book for a mainstream company now, so I’m pretty excited! That series will be released in August. Nationwide. I’m a pro now!
But that’s not why I’m writing this, right? Let’s talk about Linden Homes!
I managed to check these out when the Home and Garden Expo was running, and the preview was pretty cool. So when they were released, I hopped on the chance to snag one. Gogo and I registered around the same time, so I was hoping to get one on the waterfront like she did. Just so you know–homes are randomly assigned! BUT, all of these houses are landscaped very nicely. I didn’t get one on the waterfront, but I still love my house anyway.
I had planned on a longer blogging hiatus to catch up on some Pose Fair preparations, but two people said they missed me!! Awww. I love you guys forever 😛
I bought this adorable Tangled Origami hat hairstyle from Intrigue Co. at PCF, but I removed all the hair prims and wore it with a Milana hairstyle. I’m picky about my hair, what can I say? It’s still cute though, and for a good cause!
Zaara released this new Zayba cross top (I’m wearing Snow color) – it is gorgeous from the front and I really love the sculpted flower attachment and cute little buttons. Maybe I’ve never noticed this before, cos I don’t really inspect Zaara’s work too closely (she’s usually amazing) but I noticed that the seams on this top was really noticeable, especially on the side, and a little bit on the front.
The Zayba top is still adorable though, just don’t turn sideways 😛 I think it works perfectly with my Origami hat.
Here’s a couple of events that are either ending, or starting, that you should not miss this week!
New release! The JUICY { Heart Chain Necklace } has a color-changeable menu so you can match it to any outfit in any color your heart desires.
Oh.. and there’s a freebie! Cos I am in a good mood. The freebie version does not have a menu, but I have included four smexxy colors in the package. Come and get it!
I am a huge fan of online photo editors. I have reviewed Picnik, PicMonkey, Ribbet, etc. I have used all of those services and found each one to be easy to use, fun, and definitely worth checking out if you’re a fan of editing without using Photoshop.
FotoJet sent me an invite to review their online photo editor and collage maker, so I tried some of the filters and fun graphic design tools. For now, signing up for an account is FREE. I predict that once this service gains more popularity, they will introduce a fee, like some of the services I mentioned above. Usually the price is a few dollars a month, or around $20-$25 for the yearly subscription. It’s fairly cheap, if you enjoy these type of things.
I was able to edit photos, make posters, make magazine covers within a matter of minutes. Everything seen above is editable – resize the text, re-position it, or remove it entirely! If you’re looking for a fun way to jazz up your SL photos, check out FotoJet!
While I know my way around Photoshop, I really love playing with photo editors when I want to make quick edits to my photos. They’re great for adding filters and color manipulation. If you enjoy using online photo editors, let me know in the comments.
Obviously, I am not paid to write a review of FotoJet. Companies invite me to review things all the time, and I only review the services that I find beneficial or useful.
