Head Mistress has just released four fabulous new hairstyles. My absolute favorite one, that I haven't seen made so sexily anywhere on the grid is the Geisha inspired hairstyle called Memoirs of a Drama Queen! Typically "geisha" hair is kind of boring, but this has really nice side-swept bangs. <3

If you guys have been following my blog for awhile, you’ll know that I love mesh feet/sculpted feet. I hardly ever take my SLink mesh feet off these days, so when Pixel Mode released the new Bare Feet, I went and tried them on! I am no longer banned from the PM sim (or anywhere, that I aware of), so I tp’d right over and got myself a pair.
The price for the Bare Feet is $600L, and includes a HUD, Ankle Blender (tattoo and sock layer), and sizes xx small – large. I also picked up a pair of Flip Flops, for $300L. The Flip Flops includes a Flower Power HUD to change the color of the flower. You can wear the flip flops with, or without the flower.
I was able to get a pretty good match on my feet using one of the 15 skin presets on the HUD, and also tinted the Ankle Blender to hide the ‘line’ where the mesh feet joined with my ankle area. I’ve noticed that this Pixel Mode HUD does not include a color-picker, so you’ll have to use the HSL buttons to tint your skin. I prefer a color picker, cos for me it’s just much easier to tint using it, but thankfully I was able to get a good match for my skin using the HSL buttons. Definite try a demo before purchasing!
I have the worst luck in SL when it comes to buying items right before they go on sale! Grrrr! This weekend I picked up the R.icielliPETRA minidress (#9) and paid $285L for it, then R.cielli announced a sale shortly afterwards marking down everything that’s Red for $20L (sale ends December 7th)! Had I waited just one more day, I would have scored this dress for cheaper, cos it doesn’t really matter to me which color it is — all of them are nice. I went back and picked up the Red (#11) too, so this is a great opportunity for someone who doesn’t have this dress already to pick it up ultra cheap.
This dress fits me with minimal modding (just a little bit of stretching) and it works well with most poses, but the skirt portion is still just one big sculpted piece, so when you move, your leg will show through somewhat.

These adorable new Whippet & Buck ‘Rachelle Cropped Bustiers’ are great for adding a little punch of color to your outfit. They come in all layers so they’ll be super easy to pair over or under anything. Usually ‘sexy’ tops like these are not made with such a feminine floral print, so it’s a refreshing to have something that bares a lot of skin but also looks classy.
The bustiers are available in 7 different color choices, my favorite are Cherry Blossom (Pink) and Electric (Blue).
I’m just a Second Life resident. I’ve been blogging and playing this game, virtual world, whatever you’d like to call it, for decades. I grew up on this platform. I’ve taken thousands of snapshots over the years, raw, unedited, unfiltered. But I’m also the kind of person who leans into new tools, so of course I’m excited about using AI to enhance my photos.
Even when some designers push back loudly with “don’t feed my creations into AI or I’ll ban you from my store,” I can’t help but roll my eyes a little. They can’t ban the entire world. They can’t control what tools residents use in their own creative process. You can ignore the noise and keep using whatever tools you like. What feels insane to me is the hypocrisy. Big brands in Second Life, the ones making a living here, get a huge pass when it comes to AI editing in their ads. They’re showing AI hair, AI clothing, AI bodies, AI environments, all polished up to entice us to buy. That’s fine.
But when a resident retouches a photo with AI, the same residents who are actually spending money and keeping this world going, suddenly we’re untalented pariahs destroying creativity or causing water shortages or whatever the dramatic take is this week. The double standard is wild.
If you like this photo, yes, I edited it with ChatGPT Plus. I pay $20 a month for it. I also pay for Adobe Creative Cloud, Krea, and a bunch of other tools because I genuinely enjoy pressing buttons and seeing what happens. It’s still my photo. It’s still my avatar. I just gave it a glow up.
