I saw the Anaface anlysis on someone's flickr stream and thought I would try it on my avatar too. According to their facial analysis, Gogo is only an 8.64 out of 10. If you scored a perfect 10, I would love to see it!! Post your results in this entry. 🙂
I’ve been thinking about SL22B, Second Life’s big birthday celebration, which is coming up next week. Around this time every year, I also find myself reflecting on whether I would buy SecondLifetime Premium Plus again in 2025.
Back at SL20B, Second Life introduced SecondLifetime Premium and SecondLifetime Premium Plus. It was a limited offer, and I was able to buy just one SecondLifetime Premium for $749 dollars. Then during SL21B, they gave us the option to upgrade from regular lifetime to Plus. I went for it and spent another $1,150 dollars to upgrade my main account. I also bought a brand new SecondLifetime Premium Plus for my alt at the full price of $1,899 dollars. So altogether, I’ve spent $3,789 dollars for two lifetime accounts.
Did I need two lifetime accounts? Last year, I would have said yes without hesitation. I wanted to lock in my Linden Homes permanently. I do not consider myself a creator, so the free uploads were not a huge deal for me. I also do not care about being in a hundred groups. The biggest appeal for me was living rent free in my Linden Homes. That was enough to justify it at the time.
Back then, I had a lot more confidence in Second Life as a company. These days, that confidence has faded. Would I buy another lifetime subscription this year? No, I would not. If they offer it again in very limited numbers, I guess my choice to pass gives someone else a shot at it. If you want one of these, you should pay attention during the Meet the Lindens event at SL22B next week and be ready to submit your ticket fast.
Lately, I keep asking myself how long a Second Lifetime really is. I hope the answer is forever, or at least long enough to break even. We are living in unpredictable times, and Second Life could disappear at any moment. None of us want that, but at the end of the day it is a company, and companies can go under. Everyone who bought Lifetime like I did is hoping Second Life stays around long enough for us to enjoy the full value of our long lifetime subscriptions.
I’ve known Itny Lisle of FreshTrash for years, since she opened her first shop in SL. I’ve always admired her style, and her “fresh” approach to things. FreshTrash released this Rope Flower Headband recently, and it’s scripted to change 4 different textures. I like how well it works with most hairstyles and flowers are a great way to dress up any hair.

LeLutka has 6 new hairstyles at Hair Fair, and of course, they’re all adorable. I must admit that while I hardly ever wear hair bases, I am very happy that LeLutka has finally released some!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU! These updo styles are can be worn without or without hair base, but it’s a bit nicer when worn together.
LeLutka – Pinned | Loose | Shoop
LeLutka – Angela | Nicole | Knotted
Did you notice that the Nicole hairstyle features Red/Blue ribbons? I thought Thora had created something to celebrate July 4th, but she says it’s the colors of the Croatian flag. If you’re from a country with a flag that features Red/Blue (which is a couple of countries in the world), then I guess this hair is very patriotic!
Sweetest Goodbye is having a closing sale! I’ve been fangirling and blogging this brand for so many years, so I’m sad there won’t be any more new releases to look forward to. When a beloved brand closes, it’s a sad event in SL but you can say that SG is closing while it’s still extremely popular. Hopefully when Morphine isn’t super busy in RL, she’ll come back and and release more fabulous things, cos I’ll definitely be wearing out my SG items for years to come.
I went to Cosmetic Fair this morning, and found so many fabulous and inexpensive makeup sets. I’ve created five looks above, featuring just one skin (Pink Fuel, Harley) and seven different SL cosmetics brands. My focus was on eye makeup, cos they usually work with every skin.
Brands featured:
Nuuna – Ara Makeups & Pekka – Eyeliner Combo 2 Essences – Fake Painted Eyebrows (Pink) cheLLe – Moon Dust eyeshadow & MONS Makeups – Black Eyeliner Series La Malvada Mujer – Lux #2 KOOQLA – NY Summer Shadows 06
I was able to create so many unique looks just from these packs, and they cost less than the price of ONE skin!
Did you find something amazing at Cosmetic Fair? Share!
I love Donna Flora!! The clothes & jewelry are so pretty, this brand can do NO wrong!! I’m always excited whenever I receive a new release notice, which is about every week, cos Squinternet Larnia is constantly creating new stuff.
The problem I have with this is the idea that there is only ONE way to be beautiful. Say what you like, these people are telling you that your nose is supposed to be a CERTAIN length and width, your mouth is a little too big etc. I know lots of women in Real Life (capitalized) who get way too hung up on this stuff and I guess we carry our baggage into SL with us. Too bad …
My avatar got an 8.8 and my RL face got a 7.7. Most of its problems (with both!) were that my nose is too big.
But I *like* my nose. Both of my noses, which look nothing alike!
Wow, with Lili I got a 9.21 (but it depends a lot on how good you are in placing the points) and I won’t even try with a RL pic, cause I know I am not symmetrical (but beauty, haha! lol)
The highest my SL av got was 9.17. I couldn’t find a decent RL pic of me to use, otherwise I would’ve. I’m never looking straight at the camera :S I’m always at least somewhat facing away and it screws up on me when I try with those pics, lol.
Hmmm I pulled an 8.64 but interesting to note here is that I hit the back key, redid 17 (chin point) in virtually the same place, did this about 10 times and my score went from 7.53 to 9.01 so definitely not anything exact going on here.
We are all 10’s anyways, right ladies!!!!
my avatar got a 9.17 and a 8.45 only in rl.
I don’t understand why I have poor horizontal symmetry in sl and a good one in rl.
Symmetry is 50 in sl. I can’t make it better. Do you have tips? Or it depends of the snapshot?

8.85 but I agree with Serene’s comments.

I got an 8.46 and to hell with analysing my own face!!

Interesting!
My av got an 8.25 out of 10 & my RL face got an 8.6. What the heck is “poor horizontal symmetry” ?
