RIP TONY SOPRANO! I had forgotten this song played during the final scene of one of my favorite TV shows (The Sopranos). It has nothing to do with today’s outfit, but it was playing in the background while I snapped these photos, so I hope it’s stuck in your heads now, too.
This new My First Shirt from Monso is an amazing example of how mesh is better than regular sculpted prims! I didn’t wear shirts much prior to mesh, cos fitting the collar & sleeves were always pain, but now that’s no longer an issue! I’m pairing this shirt with the Nora Skinny Jeans from Mon Tissu, and some amazing new Cameo jewelry from Magic Nook.

I’ve been wearing this Twilight gown from Web Dew unapologetically. It reminds me of when I was new to Second Life; I had friends who wore flexi ball gowns everywhere. Do people not run around in gowns anymore? Sometimes I do, as I think deep down, I want to embody a Victorian lady of some sort in Second Life.
This Twilight gown is part of a set that includes a Corset, Skirt, Sleeves, and Collar. The sleeves are my favorite feature of the entire gown; I absolutely adore how they cut off just before the elbows, preventing any clipping with the lace!
Do you use Discord? It’s a fantastic way to keep in touch with friends in Second Life and to easily share images while maintaining conversations without missing a beat. I love it. I can’t recall what I did before I joined Discord. A few years ago, I noticed that Second Life had an invitation-only Discord, known as the Secret Discord, and I wondered why there wasn’t an official server for all residents to stay updated on Second Life news. I suppose they eventually realized that engaging residents is beneficial since most of us are already using Discord to connect with one another.
Once you join, click on the server name and select “Show All Channels.” You should also verify your resident status to receive the resident role, to get full server access.

Did I ever tell you guys that I’m a recovering Linden Homes addict?
It’s actually been pretty easy this past year to work on my addiction, mostly because Tiki, Aspen Ridge, and Ridgewood Enclave just weren’t for me. I tried Tiki for about a week or so, just to give it a fair shot. Aspen Ridge and Ridgewood Enclave? I didn’t even try them. I knew on sight they weren’t my thing, and that made it a lot easier to stay “in recovery.”
So last Thursday, Second Life released the newest Linden Homes theme, Copperfield Heights. It caught me off guard because there wasn’t really any hype leading up to it. No big buildup. I wasn’t expecting anything new at all.
I didn’t even love these on sight either. They launched with winter terrain and landscaping, and the houses didn’t really blend into the all-white surroundings. It felt a little harsh visually. And honestly, I wasn’t even wanting another Linden Home. I’ve been doing so well.
But FOMO is FOMO.
So I rolled.
There are definitely things I don’t love. Some of the textures don’t line up perfectly. There’s no white interior wood trim. No back doors on some of the homes. None of it is a deal breaker for me, but it’s also not great. They’re just those little details you notice and wish were done a bit better.
At the same time, there are things I really like. The built-in porches are nice. There’s slight PBR, but it’s not overly shiny like the Aspen Ridge homes. And the houses can absolutely lean cottage if you want them to. That’s what I wanted. A girly cottage. So I made one.

What really sets this theme apart from the previous fifteen is that it’s available for all premium membership levels. Plus members can get a 512. Premium members get a 1024. Premium Plus gets the largest 2048 homes. I think that’s a really good move. The regions are seasonal as well, which we were recently introduced to with Aspen Ridge, and I do like having that variety.
I wouldn’t say I’m completely in love with Copperfield Heights, but I do think I could be happy with one. The one I have now is on a finished edge, and that’s good enough for me.
Sparkle already started landscaping for me, and she says if I leave she’ll unalive me, so I guess I’m staying.

The latest Second Life Development Viewer has avatar physics enabled!! Hamlet blogged about it on NWN, and there’s even a video tutorial if you guys want to check it out.
I had so much fun playing with the new avatar physics, I even made a lil’ video and threw it on YouTube. I haven’t done that in almost two years, so my video didn’t turn out quite as nice as I had hoped, but I hope you guys can see clearly how natural and amazing and FUN this will be for SL residents. Even if you don’t want extreme bounce, this new physics layer have sliders for you to control as much or as little bounce as you want.
You can follow the tutorial on NWN to create your own physics layer, or grab a copy of mine and just wear. Be sure to use the latest SL Dev Viewer, or a compatible Third Party Viewer (TPV).
Second Life’s Knowledge Base also has a step-by-step tutorial on Enhanced Avatar Physics that includes pictures!
UPDATE April 14th, 2011: If you purchased my Juicy Physics package before 9PMSLT today, there is an error in the Breasts Bounce: Max Effect setting. It should *not* be set to 0! For a lil bounce, set it to 25 and for max bounce, set it to 65 or higher.
I just replaced it with an updated package on Marketplace.
Also, Second Life has added Avatar Physics to the latest Second Life Beta Viewer (Second Life 2.6.3 (225685)) too! It is no longer limited to just the Development viewer.

I notice you are wearing a lot of mesh, but when I look at the shapes in your shop, there is noting on them about standard mesh sizing do you have any of your shapes that would work well with the standard mesh sizing?
All my shapes are mod, so you can just tweak it for whichever mesh item you’re wearing! That’s how I do it. I don’t really like those “Standard Size” bodies. I tweak my shape for each item I’m wearing, so to me, all shapes should fit “Standard Size” if it’s mod!
I’m still not getting fully on the mesh wagon…..If I wanted my shape to be the same shape as everyone else s it already would be the same. I do hope that creators will continue to make non mesh clothing for the people that don’t want to “tweak” their shapes and who like clothes that flow and move. That said ,, this is a very cute look 🙂
I wish the Mon Tissu jeans looked like that on my avi, but the “U” shape between my legs looks so utterly ridiculous! Must be ‘cos my avi is so short x.x
Are you ever going to start reviewing skins again? Don’t get me wrong, I still love your blog and I’m always excited to see the outfits you put together, but I miss the main focus of this blog being skins. I can proudly say that I’ve gotten at least 15 skins over the years because of your reviews. I just don’t understand why you love Pink Fuel so much. Pink Fuel skins are so generic looking and they’re not realistic at all.
I think some more skin reviews would be nice, buttt I have to disagree on the Pink Fuel comment, they are so pretty and sweet and innocent looking, and I believe a skin is only as good as the shape worn with it 😉
And Juicy is the best shape maker in the whole of SL, FACT!
I love everything about your outfit. I can’t seem to find the cameo necklace. I don’t think I’m overlooking it but I could be. Where do I need to be looking?
