    If you love cyberpunk everything like I do, you love any themed event of such that comes along and lets you shop for all the gear you’ll need for a futuristic look. Imagine my thrill at the Cyber/Punk event happening, especially its Psycho Byts gacha. I was able to get a pair of amazing cyber bento arms from it–a rare with just a few plays! Plus, some boots, a headset, and a dope-looking bodysuit.

    I mixed up my look in the picture to show the average cyberpunk berzerker and how they might look if you encountered one.

    Alright, so you go shopping for all this stuff and then you say to yourself, “Where can I go roleplay as a cool cyberpunker?” And to that I tell you… yeah, sorry, those opportunities are dwindling in SL. Roleplay in SL is dwindling. Should we talk about that?

    Serendipitous Sands

    Hello from Serendipitous Sands! This dreamy beach sim is the perfect place for today’s outfit. I am wearing this adorable Pico Top from A N E Fashion, and pairing it with the Cia Highwaist Shorts from The Secret Store.

    I wear a lot of shoes from Ingenue, you could say that it’s my go-to brand for shoes. Most of the styles are available in plenty of colors and prints, and pairs well with casual styles. I am wearing the Elodie Flats from Ingenue. Exile is killing it with this gorgeous Long Beach hairstyle, available at Summerfest! It feels like summer is a year-long season in SL, which is alright with me cos I mostly live on the beach.

    Breath of Spring

    Spring is coming! I am at The Secret Garden, it’s a gorgeous garden full of flowers and springtime loveliness. Unfortunately, it is inside of a sky dome so there is no natural lighting, so I couldn’t get any shadows in my photos.

    I’m really drawn to traditional clothing around the world, so when I saw this Breath of Spring dress from CHU-ING at The Arcade, I kept playing until I won it. I normally don’t go for clothing gachas, but this dress is so cute! The dress includes a color-change HUD so I can wear it more than once.

    I am also wearing the new Polly hairstyle from Truth. I love these side-swept bangs, they’re the perfect length so they don’t clash with my lashes. The hairstyle also pairs well with the Breath of Spring hair pin from CHU-ING.

    Indie Teepee

    I am going to rave about Indie Teepee, even though I’m not a social butterfly. I initially found out about Indie Teepee through one of the designers that I follow on social media. I went to shop, but it was delightful that it is not the focal point of the event. Even though it is just one sim, it feels much bigger, and the shopping area is hidden underwater in a very nice under-the-sea themed area.

    Hair Fair 2017

    Hair Fair is open! From July 1st-16th, a percentage of every hair that you buy at the event will benefit the Wigs for Kids organization. I look forward to Hair Fair annually, cos I have so many fond memories of shopping here through the years.

    Check out the official Hair Fair blog for a preview of all the hairstyles and direct SLurls. When I went to the preview last night, this post was not up yet, which is actually a good thing cos I got to see all the booths and discover some new-to-me  brands. I recommend going to the sims and buying the demos that you want to try directly, instead of relying on the Hair Fair Demo group cos that can get overwhelming.

    I’m so impressed that hair designers got together and brought their best efforts to this event. In addition to bento hair, I’ve discovered that a handful of brands are now offering Style options, often built into the texture HUD or as a separate HUD.

    Have you ever heard of Lootbox? Instead of winning rare items individually, you win a rare lootbox with the special items inside it. I wanted the Wonderland set from Astralia, cos for some reason I can’t resist anything Wonderland themed. I love being Alice! I went through my old blog posts and found some Alice looks that I wore years ago, and realized that my style was more fun then.

    Speaking of Wonderland themed items, can you guys send me some links to stuff that I don’t know about? I want clothes, decor, anything!

    Second Life in the Middle Ages

    SL14B is here again! There are tons of sims open to celebrate Second Life’s 14th birthday. This year, I’ve put together a silly exhibit about Second Life if it took place in the Middle Ages.

    Them Bones

    I believe them bones are me.
    Some say we’re born into the grave.

    I’ve been shambling all over SL in this skeleton avatar! A free gift from Linden Labs, you can grab this skeleton at the Portal Park. I recommend pairing it with RC Cluster’s new Zombie AO. It’ll give it a perfectly creepy effect.

    Right now I’ve got two things for you. The first is this mask set I made for Halloween–grab this at my mainstore or on marketplace. These masks are hand-painted and very fun, and are only 100L for the pack.

    Next up–Burn2 is back! A digital version of the Burning Man festival, it’s a big art party that lasts a week and is full of fantastic exhibits. And guess what? You can get a free campsite there too. Mine is located here if you want to visit.

    Fall in Love

    I went to The Seasons Story event and had a blast! I wanted fall decor, so I played a bunch of machines that had gorgeous prim food and decor. Some decor seen here are from: Disorderly & Cureless, Silvery K, Tenacio (all found @ the event); the rest are from Tres Blah and What Next.

    I also found the most amazing pair of jean shorts from Empire! These would normally be a bit too cheeky for my taste, but today it really suits my mood. The jean shorts are sold as a single pack of 20 colors, includes a HUD to change the colors/textures.

    I’m doing my best to cover events that I find worthwhile, but there are just so many. I have to really like an event to recommend it to you guys, and The Seasons Story is definitely worth checking out. There are lots of free gifts at this event too.

    I just went to the Mesh Body Addicts Fair early to check out the skins and mesh body parts offered, and I haven’t decided on anything new yet. If you want to go before the fair opens to the public on August 1st, join the Mesh Body Addicts group in-world (it’s free to join). I thought the fair was a good size with just two sims, and a very open layout. Easy to navigate.  I didn’t like that some brands seemed to rez old items and didn’t clearly label what items were new and/or exclusive to the fair. Keep it simple!

    I found Goji at the fair; this is a brand that I wanted to check out since its launch earlier this year. This is a more kawaii brand from the same team that is behind ColdLogic. How talented is Damien Fate? He has more brands than I can remember at the moment, and all of them are different. I recently blogged about FateLashes, which I am still wearing daily!

    The only thing I bought at this fair is the new Smarties Frills dress from Goji. This is a fair exclusive, and it is so inexpensive! For $190L, the dress includes a 4 color HUD with buttons to turn the front and back bows on/off, and a shine option. Here’s a map of the MBA fair, so you can find all of your favorite brands faster.

    Reminder, today is the last day of Hair Fair! I am wearing a hair from Elikatira; a brand I haven’t worn in ages cos I thought the brand became inactive. I guess it’s back? This is your last chance to buy hair with some of the proceeds going to charity.
