Wunderlichs has for gorgeous gowns inspired by the movie 'The Duchess' based on the real life story of the Duchess of Devonshire, Georgiana. I've been reading The Duchess and I've finally finished last night!! I can't wait to see the movie version!
Here's the SL interpretation of the gowns worn in the movie and I think they are just as fabulous!! Great attention to detail and texturing on these gowns.
Last week I was walking around Zafrira, a punk-grunge shopping sim and I found the CUTEST bag ever!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is one of those “I wish I had it in RL” items!! Below I paired it with the Little Swallow Queen Hoodie, the latest release from *katat0nik*. The swallow graphic is an original artwork by Katat0nik Pidgeon and it’s super cute. I really adore stuff that’s detailed and artistic.
12 Days of Christmas is here! The biggest Christmas tradition in Second Life is the free mesh head from LeLutka! It surpasses every event on the grid that I can think of, and residents look forward to this. I can’t imagine if LeLutka doesn’t give a gift head one year, would Christmas get canceled?
I went to all of the participating skin stores and picked out 4 skins that are very pretty and fit well with the free Noel head. Most of these are for EvoX and work with light Velour skin tones. I was going to blend these head skins into my usual Pink Fuel body skins, but then I found out that I already have the Velour BoM body skins as part of the Maitreya LaraX update. I wish skin brands would start including the bodies with their skins again. There’s no reason to sell bodies separately, just throw it all in there. A lot of brands are already giving out FREE body skins, cos that makes sense. It’s already very complex to match different mesh heads with different bodies, appliers, and BoM, so just give us the body so we’re not left wondering why our bodies aren’t matching our faces.
I am on various social media platforms for Second Life, and I have noticed that residents on Facebook absolutely love AI. They use it constantly to enhance their photos or make videos, and they share the results without hesitation. The same can’t really be said for platforms like Twitter, where a vocal minority is always ready to pounce and tell you that using AI wastes water and that you are a terrible human for even thinking about it.
So anyway, I was casually browsing Facebook when I stumbled across a very amusing trend. Second Life avatars being put in jail for the crime of using AI. The prompt was created and shared by a resident named Danny Fróes (idjdanny). I believe it was originally written in Portuguese, but Facebook translated it to English for me.
Copy this prompt into ChatGPT (or any AI image generation site) with a reference photo:
Using the provided image as a face reference, create a close-up, photorealistic 8K HDR portrait of this woman, portrayed in a classic mugshot. The crime and the mugshot should correspond to the aesthetics and personality you perceive in the picture provided. The woman has voluminous, wild, messy hair. Your makeup complements your personality and aesthetic. The woman is looking straight at the camera in a confident, rebellious, challenging or fun pose. The mugshot should include your name and the crime she committed. Your name is: [Your Name]. Crime Using AI in Second life 01/05/2026 Do not alter your face or your deeds.
You can use Google Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok, and others to get some pretty amusing results. Some services produce more realistic images than others, but I preferred ChatGPT for photos because it did a great job of keeping the final image looking similar to my avatar’s reference photo.
Try the prompt and show me how your photo turned out!
Bax Coen has just released these fantastic Patent Pink leather ankle boots.. and omg they are totally customizable! The colors can be mixed-and-matched and they're so much fun to customize. The main colors for the leather of these Pink Ankle Boots are Baby Pink, Hot Pink and Purple. I customized mine to be baby Pink with black lace trimmings, black sole and black laces!
Looking for a complimentary outfit? MALT Fashions has just the perfect dress, the Belle Dress in WineBerry is totally cute and has a matching headband! <3
L+R+W has just released the Fairy Rose heels!! L+R+W is a collaboration between two wonderful brands, Love Soul and R2. I’m so excited about these because they’re a single attachment (shoes+invisiprim are together) so I can wear them with pants that have cuffs!!
Also… the HUD system has been updated to a more user-friendly menu with 3 different tabs: Nail Color, Skin Color, and Resize & Pose. Everything is more visual than before, so it’s very very easy to color match your skin tone and select nail colors, etc.
Each pair of L+R+W shoes also includes an Update Card, so when they upgrade or make changes you get the update for FREE! yay!
My favorite feature is the ability to show/hide roses, it’s really like getting 3 pairs of shoes for the price of one.
This release has 9 different pairs to choose from — the White has 4 different versions, each having a different rose color. These heels would make great bridal shoes!!!
Pink Fuel released Appliers for SLink Avatar Enhancement Feet! Even though I’ve always been able to tint my hands and feet to match my skin, I’ve found that appliers work so much better under ALL lighting conditions. I can’t wait to have matching fingernails and toenails polish! The default polishes that came with SLink feet are plain and without designs, but SL residents have really made some stunning ones for the Av Enhancement version.
As you can see, I am wearing the same size feet (Small) in both picture, but the Av Enhancement version is slightly bigger, not sure why! I thought my tinting for SLink’s feet was pretty good, but now that I’ve seen the Applier version, I like it a lot more.
I don’t change my main skin often, but I do like to bounce around between the skin tones. Since appliers were introduced, I tend to stick to one skin tone more, cos I don’t want to buy more appliers or have to re-apply all my attachments. I know a lot of you guys change your skins and skin tones often, do you also buy appliers for ALL of the skins that you wear, or just your main skin?
Before I end this post, I just wanted to post a picture of the default SL feet, hopefully never to be seen on this blog again!!!!
