I’ve been telling my friends that I want to feature less skins and not be known as the “skin blogger” but more like, the everything juicy fashion blogger. I’ve always been a big fan of LeLutka skins but also an equally big fan of the hairstyles, which they don’t release often enough! The two new soon-to-be released hairstyles are called Amanda and Amanda 2, it should be available at LeLutka this weekend *crosses fingers*!
Update: SOLD! Kool-Aid (that was his original name) has a happy new home with Miss Ziki Questi! I am so happy he’s with her, and not some random person cos I’ve been reading her blog for quite some years, and I’m thrilled to see him go to a fellow blogger.

Bloggers! Two Questions!
1) How long did you blog before you received your first review copy from a designer that was not a close friend?
My first blog was kind of a mess. I was not aware of the fashionplanet feed yet, so I didn’t read anybody’s blog. I just made one to document my shopping and stuff I did with my friends. I never wrote a single review or did proper credits. Then one day, a friend showed me the fashionplanet feed and I saw so many fashion bloggers, some of them had great pics, some of them didn’t. I thought I could do it better, so I took my blog more “seriously” and moved it from Vox (lol, right?) to WordPress.
Oh, and nobody ever sent me any review copies just because they liked my blog. I didn’t have any designer friends either, I just fangirl’d them from afar, LOL!!!
2) How long did you blog before you first requested a review copy of an item from a designer? (not a friend)
After I blogged for a few months, I asked Raven Pennyfeather (and Harper Beresford) for review copies of gorgeous House of Rfyre gowns. So yay! Thanks girls for not turning me away and dashing my fashionista dreams 😛
I really didn’t ask for many review copies until I felt confident that my blog had traffic and and decent pictures. There were lots of already established bloggers then, and of course, Linden Lifestyles and the Second Style blog/mag. I felt like I wasn’t anywhere near their level of traffic so I didn’t feel “deserving” of review copies.
I think that my experience as a fashion blogger differs from some of the new fashion bloggers now. I barely ever saw “review copies” mentioned back then, but now almost every designer has a policy listed somewhere in their profile or website, which encourages more bloggers to ask for them.
How I feel about the state of SL fashion blogging now is.. eh.. I’ll tell you guys another time 😛
I saw this great Chikka Design "Star Dress" this morning and I looooved the cleavage. I'm pairing this very short dress (if you can call it a dress, it's more like a long sexy tank top) with some gorgeous white leggings from MALT Fashions. Every year I make my way to the Spoonful of Sugar Festival to support Doctors Without Borders and, of course, pick up some goodies from some of my favorite Second Life brands while I’m there.
Just like last year, AlaskaMetro has an amazing L$10 gift at the event. This year it’s a pack of Vintage China nails, which I’m wearing today and absolutely love. Izzie’s also has a Chest Details pack at the festival, and you wouldn’t think I’d willingly add imperfections to my perfectly good pixel body, but apparently I do! The pack includes chest freckles, redness, and moles, but I like the chest redness, so I’m wearing that with today’s look. Sometimes those tiny imperfections are exactly what make a Second Life avatar look a little more interesting and realistic.
The Spoonful of Sugar Festival runs through September 27, so you still have time to shop and support a good cause. There’s also a gacha and raffle area where you can win even more goodies and gift cards from some popular Second Life brands. If you’re going to shop anyway, you might as well do a little good while you’re at it!

I think it’s really bad taste to snub certain designers from sharing a link at your blog. I will be removing your link from my blog today as it has been there for months and I’ve sent 3 request to be added to yours. I”ve made a lot of money (sales) in Secondlife during the years that I have created here, but am still obviously not good enough for you. I was certainly nice to you when we met and thought your shapes were lovely. Now I just am writing you off as someone who thinks she is better, are you sure you are better?
