SLB10; Looking Forward, Looking Back

SLB10 Opens Tomorrow! June 16th-June 29th. The theme for this year is Looking Forward, Looking back, so keep that in mind when you do the SLB10 Celebration Snapshot Contest!

Check out the Second Life Destination Guide for a listing of all the fabulous SLB10 exhibits!

This was taken at SLB10 Bear Island – It’s Torley Bear!

SLB10

The Corn Field! This is not a new place, but something that’s been in Second Life for a long time. Yesterday was my first time at The Corn Field, and I am not too impressed. I guess it was brought back for the SLB10 Celebration, so visit while you still can! You wouldn’t want to miss out on some fabulous rows of texture corn.

I did use the Bokeh filter from PicMonkey for these two photos to jazz them up a little! I LOVE BOKEH!

The Corn Field was a region of mythological status where once naughty avatars were sent to think about what they had done. “The corn field” is a vast star-lit field of corn and was cut off from communication with the rest of the world (a reference to the classic Twilight Zone episode, “It’s a Good Life”).
It was located at the North-West tip of Orientation Island 1 and closed to the public. It was removed from the grid in mid-2012.
