Almost a year ago, I moved into my very first Linden Home. At the time, I calculated the cost, and it was around $6USD/yr with the stipend plus bonus (for being a first-time premium member). Hello from Bellisseria South, the long-awaited Victorians have now been claimed by thousands of happy new homeowners. During the Linden Reveal 3 weeks ago, the southern addition to the continent was not public access, so we didn’t get to see the actual regions until the launch on December 16th.

Are these the victorian mini-mansions of your virtual dreams? I waited impatiently along with most of the Bellisseria residents for the 4th Linden Home theme reveal. You can go check them out right now at the SL Christmas Expo, an American Cancer Society charity fundraising event.
From what I can tell, there are 4 victorian home styles to choose from, three of the homes are two-story and one is a single-story cottage. I think the inside walls can be different colors, and the homes all have porches attached, which appears to have the option to select the porch to be on the left or right side of the home.
I don’t know why I’m not that excited about these homes. I think it’s the distressed textures, I am not a fan of super distressed furnishings in SL. I guess I’ll have to see if I can score a mini-victorian on the beach and turn it into a beachy victorian, LOL!! Did I ever tell you guys that I hate grass? Yea, I hate grass.

Are my neighbors lagging me on Bellisseria? Yes, the more densely populated a region is, the more chances of lag increasing due to scripted objects running on the region and nearby avatars causing you lag. I’ll write a blog post about Avatar Rendering Cost sometime, but I don’t find other avatars to be a problem since I don’t render them. However, since I am living communally on Bellisseria, I do care when my neighbors are using an excessive amount of scripts on their land and increasing lag for everyone on the region. I went to the Arcade this morning to get my Halloween costume from Una. The Little Red Riding Hood outfit is what I wanted to be this year, as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it. Thankfully, I didn’t care for the bloody Red (rare) color, so I got it in White and tinted it! I highly recommend doing that, if you want a whole bunch of different colors.

Let’s go for a ride! I meant to tell you guys about the Culprit Hovery Craft (visit the mainstore) last week cos of the limited time sale, but I’ve been too busy riding, flying, and sailing it ALL over Bellisseria. It’s truly the best little classic car ever. I can give one friend a ride with it, and I’ve been driving all of them home in my little car. I say this should be the official ride for Bellisseria, cos it’s good on land, sea, and air.
Driving can be a bit challenging on Bellisseria, especially with land orbs ejecting people too quickly. 15 seconds is not enough time to reverse and get out of a parcel when you’ve accidentally driven off the road. Please, dear neighbors, stop using land orbs. For as long as I have been on Bellisseria (since April 15th), no one has ever wandered onto my land uninvited. It doesn’t happen as much as people would like to think.
The Culprit Hovery Craft also includes a rezzer, so you can rez it on your land for friends and neighbors to use. So awesome, and so cheap for everything that it comes with, and all of the joy it brings.
I love the Culprit Hovery Craft so much that I built a carport to store it! Well, I didn’t actually build it, Blush Bravin did, but I rezzed it on my land and built a drive way for it. I avoid mega add-ons cos I enjoy my sparsely decorated beach. This carport and porch add-on is not too big, and suits the tiny Adams house very well.
What I’m Wearing:
I don’t always do hunts in SL, but I did the Halloween Swaginator Hunt for fun. It was quick hunt with only 4 things to find! You must wear the free HUD from the Swaginator gift-giving station before you start the hunt.
Important tip: When you teleport to your locations, be sure to stand close to the grave/giant pumpkin before you click on it to receive the gifts and the next hint. The hint is spoken in local chat, so if you’re too far away, you won’t see the next hint, and the object will not repeat it (frustrating).

Hi from the edge of my houseboat on Bellisseria! I never wanted a houseboat until two weeks ago, when I visited a friend’s houseboat. The view outside of the windows reflected gorgeous endless ocean. I fell in love instantly, and prayed to the Linden gods for a houseboat. Prayer answered.
I’m still getting the hang of decorating a houseboat, so it’ll be partially empty for awhile. I wanted a waterfront location to test how the light and sky reflects in the water, cos I’m making some custom EEP settings for personal use in the EEP viewer. Apparently EEP will go live very soon, so I recommend familiarizing yourself with it now!
