Faith Argentina
This Faith Argentina gown from Donna Flora is one of the most stunning gowns I’ve seen in a long time! I use to buy gowns a lot, back when there were only flexi gowns to choose from, but since the introduction of sculpts, and now mesh, I favor casual clothing more. Still, I couldn’t help but  really want to wear this dress when I came across it on Donna Flora’s Flickr stream.
The gown, as seen here, is a gorgeous White, Blue & Gold color. I was surprised to see that it is not mesh, but just a sculpted attachment (without flexi). My friend asked me if I could take this gown out dancing, and I think not (it will not move fluidly) but of course, that doesn’t stop anyone on the grid!

I’ve been playing Once Human quite a bit with my friends lately, and it’s really opened my eyes to what makes Second Life so special. While there are definitely aspects of Once Human that Second Life could learn from, like implementing log-in and engagement rewards, here are some key things I genuinely appreciate about Second Life:
- Unlimited Inventory Storage, accessible everywhere.
- No Random Deaths, nothing can kill you.
- Weather-Proof, you can’t die from extreme heat or cold.
- Free Teleportation, getting around the grid is a breeze with free teleportation.
- Unlimited Appearance Changes, I can switch up my look anytime I feel like it.
- No Grinding Required, I can enjoy the game my way without endless grinding.
As a first-timer in the post-apocalyptic MMO world, I was shocked to discover that changing my appearance comes at a cost—tokens! The grind is real, but playing with the right friends makes it wildly addictive.
Right now, I’m taking a breather to try on some adorable items from the new round of Anthology. It’s still Spooktober, and I’m totally obsessed with the Broken Doll Joints overlay set from Badwill. I snapped two photos—one with the cracks and one without—and layered them in Photoshop. Afterward, I erased parts of the cracks that I didn’t want to keep. It would be amazing if there were options to mix and match the cracks across my body! I’ve never seen a broken porcelain doll tattoo before, so I was thrilled to rock this look.
Today, I’m wearing the Paige dress from Seeker, which comes with a HUD featuring fall prints and solid colors. I can even customize the dress, straps, pockets, and metal buttons! And I’m always on the lookout for the perfect pair of loafers, and the Mood Loafers from Cheezu is so well made and it looks like it’s in PBR. They come with a HUD for changing the color of the shoes, soles, and socks—so stylish!

Nikita Fride hair
Nikita Fride – Bloom n Butterfly | Jungle King | Fashion Up Hair w/ Windblown w/ Glitter
A lot of readers have suggested that I should cover new brands instead of my usual favorites…. so here you go 🙂
I stumbled upon Nikita Fride last week and discovered a really huge shop with a large collection of hairstyles. I noticed right away that some of the styles and textures were “not me” but that’s exactly what I wanted. I think I tried on all of the hairstyles, but settled on a few that were cute and has cute hair accessories. I normally try to steer clear of animated hair, but it totally worked with some of the hairstyles at Nikita Fride.
For example, the Fashion Up Hair w/ Windblown w/ Glitter (how could you not love hair with windblow and glitter?!) has some animations on the flexi hair strands to mimic a windblown look, and I think it totally works for.. mermaid hair?
My friends have mixed reactions to this hair — some people liked it, some people thought it was weird/awful/bad/shockingly bad and weird.. but eh, you guys wanted DIFFERENT, right?
I don’t think this is bad hair, really! I would never blog something I didn’t like or wouldn’t spend my own money on. 🙂

Each hair includes two version — full bright and not full bright, but some of the styles included not full bright hair that had full bright hair accessories. I sent Nikita Fride a notecard requesting a completely no-bright version of the hairstyles purchased, and she promptly fixed that and sent me new versions. Now that’s what I call awesome customer service!

Sweeter than Apple pie
There are some big changes at Truth! A new build, vending system (store credit), and new textures packs! My favorite Blonde color seems to be “gone” and replaced with LightBlondes 01, its less platinum sister. Rest in peace, Swedish Blonde.
Shown above is a picture of the old hair colors chart vs. the new one. As you can see, tons of colors are gone, and replaced with similar (but fewer) color choices. I’ll miss the Coolmint and Fairyfloss too colors too, they were so vibrant and lovely.
Truth has six new hairstyles out, and my favorite is the Sadie, cos it’s so retro and cute! It also includes a color-changing bandana headband. I took these photos at the artilleri sim, cos Antonia Marat is the retro queen in SL, even if she’s on a long hiatus or retired from SL creating.

Actually sorry I forgot to add, if you say you revamped shapes to suit new skins, why not name the skins in the original post? You must have posted when tired, cause it makes no sense to not say what both are =)
Bottom skin is from Laqroki by Mallory Cowen. You can tell by the eyebrows and the collar bones. And perhaps she was talking about new skins in general as there is a whole new onslaught of them.
