Kira Ahn has a goodie bag of 4 free Halloween skins out at the main store! They’re the new V2 skins, but with "halloween" scary goodness added onto the face! I’m wearing Pale here, but the Sunkissed version is SUPER scary.. I couldn’t even look at myself for that long with it on so I didn’t snap a pic 😛
Feel like going as Marie Antoinette this year? The dress I’m wearing is the Midnight Ball gown from Digit Darkes Marie Antoinette Collection and Sky Everett’s Cerdwin Rococo White hair.
When I first started SL, there were women (and men) running around in formal wear all the time. I haven’t seen that in a long time, and even on blogs, more SL bloggers favor the playful/younger look with *ahem* things in mouth (I’m totally guilty of this), and cutesy accessories.
Do you think SL’ers are dressing their avatars younger than before? Do you dress your age?
This Pink Fuel Amaterasu skin is a limited edition created for The Circle Project. It is anime-inspired and that’s paint (not blood) drawn on the skin itself. I have no idea where it is cos TCP has not started yet but I will update this post with a SLURL when I get it! 🙂
What I’m Wearing:
Kin – Blossom (White)
Pink Fuel – Elly (Milk) Amaterasu (ltbrow)
Bare Rose – Shengkai (Blue)
HUB – Venus Sandals (White Pearl)
Happy Easter!! Lots of goodies on the grid this weekend but I'll have to come off my sugar high before I can do a proper blog entry. However, if you're looking for sexy shoes, the AOHARU Gladiators have been released!! Machang Pichot has made sculpted feet!
These are the AOHARU Gladiators in Pink! Each pair of shoes includes a HUD to tint skin and nail colors and the shoes are resizable. There are 3 slots to save your own customized skin color, too. For Machang's first pair, this is a really good try but the menu needs more customization options. So far you can only tint skin by selecting a preset color, then adding more Red, Green, or Blue tint, which works ok but it is not a fast process. I wish there was a built-in color-picker like in Photoshop (SLink shoes has this).
The best part about the AOHARU Gladiators is the heel shape and sexy straps with buckles. These also come in a bunch of happy colors, so tp to AOHARU!
The long-awaited SLink Mesh Hands have arrived! These hands are so beautiful, I probably won’t ever take them off. Finally, my avatar can express herself with over a dozen hand gestures, instead of being limited to the few default ones from SL.
The hands are rigged mesh, so you won’t need to resize or adjust them in any way for a perfect fit. Included in the package is a HUD to tint skin tone, a nails HUD, and 15 pairs of hands with different gestures. I like to mix-and-match the hands to fit whatever pose I’m using.
SLers have always complained about ugly hands and feet, and now that we’ve had pretty mesh feet for a while, it’s time to update with mesh hands too! Check ’em out at SLink.
What I’m Wearing:
Pink Fuel – Kumi (Peach) Pure (bwnbrow/crease)
Truth – Jemima w/Roots (Treacle)
Blowpop – Yvette (Pink)
SLink – Mesh Rigged Hands
This year marks the 5th Bellisseria Trick or Treat event! The first one will always be my favorite because it was hard as hell. None of us knew how many candies we needed to win, so my friends and I went all in and collected a ridiculous amount. I still didn’t make the Top 10 or get all four bears in 2021, but it was so much fun trying. The second year was great too, and the bears were still adorable.
By the third and fourth years, the prizes switched to boopies, and collecting candies around Bellisseria got easier, but it still had some challenge to it.
This year, though, felt like life on easy mode. It was so simple that I didn’t enjoy it as much. As a homeowner, I already got five free candies every day. Since the Tier 4 prize only required 400 candies, I knew from the start that I’d win just by following the Bellisseria Citizens group Trick or Treat list. I guess I’m grateful it only took me two days to hit the top prize, but it wasn’t as fun because I didn’t have to team up with friends and explore all over Bellisseria like before.
My pro tip for this event is to skip any house where the bucket is too hard to find. There are tons of buckets out there, and your time is valuable. If you don’t spot it within five seconds, move on. When teleporting around, open Area Search, type “BUCKET,” and get within five meters so you can click it. You can even touch it directly from the Area Search window.
One thing I noticed about the BC list this year is that there were only around 400 buckets total. That makes me think not many people are active in the Bellisseria Citizens group anymore. There have to be over 30,000 Linden Homes by now, so where’s everyone at?
How can this event be more exciting next year? Go back to the first year’s trick-or-treating style. I don’t want to know how many candies I need to win, and the requirements should depend on how many residents are actually collecting. I’m not saying make it harder, just make it less predictable. There was also a lot of lag this year, and I really don’t like those long, narrow 2048 parcels. And bring back the bears, they were the best!
Joy is discovering a Target lookalike in Second Life, aptly named Bullseye! Picture this: walking in, grabbing a basket, and immersing yourself in an authentic Target experience in Second Life. It’s strikingly realistic, mirroring the brick-and-mortar store we all know and love.
Imagine the thrill if Second Life boasted department stores where you could actually browse and purchase clothing on the spot? There’s something delightful about stores that truly resemble stores. Remember the days when hair shops were designed like actual salons? That added touch of realism was incredibly fun.
