Cupcakes has recently released the Celebrity Skins at the new Main Store on Le Zoo!
Shown below are makeup #1-#10 of the Cupcakes Celebrity skins in Vanilla skin tone. Each skin also includes a freckles version if you like to switch between regular or freckles version.
Every single time a hair store runs a 50% sale, they launch new textures shortly after the sale. I was pleasantly surprised by the new Magika hair textures – so realistic! I’m a fan of hair stores including all of the colors in one single hud, for one price, and not even the usual “fatpack” prices that clothing brands charge, but just a few hundred lindens ($370L at Magika).
This is a Fawn is a new shop in SL that has just released a bunch of really cute items for your shopping pleasure. I am wearing the Hax dress in Blue, Grey and Coral ~ the skirt shape is darling and oh so round on these. I've paired it with the 69 – Fishbone 02 + Beret hair and a Biong Fromage Big Cheese Necklace. I feel like a French girl now, ooh la la.
Also wearing the Hound Skirt in Marigold color. These come in a bunch of colors, but only Marigold matched my cheese & beret perfectly.

I’ve waited forever for Tetra to update the Bella dress to include LaraX, and finally, it happened last week. This dress is my favorite item from Tetra, so I’ve been hoping for this update so I can wear it again. I dislike having to switch bodies back and forth, which means a lot of my inventory for Maitreya Lara remains unworn until they release the LaraX update. Eventually, I’ll just end up deleting those items. When a brand doesn’t revisit their previously released items that are still good, I find myself moving on from that brand.
Currently, I’m silently boycotting another brand in Second Life for this very reason. They released a dress that I love, then brought it back in a special limited edition color. The following year, they added the LaraX version of that dress but ignored the special edition color, leaving it without an update. A few months later, they released it again as a Halloween hunt item, complete with blood splatter, but again, they opted not to revisit the special edition color. I have decided to boycott them until they correct this oversight. I know you might be thinking, “But Gogo, you paid a dollar for that dress; designers won’t work for free!” However, I don’t believe I’m being entitled. They have released this dress four times now, three of which included LaraX. Why are they ignoring the only color I truly love? When brands put in a little effort to update previous items, they reap the rewards of being able to sell it again to even more customers, even if some customers do benefit from the free update. Even previous customers can show it some love by wearing it again and giving the brand free marketing.
This is just one of many random reasons I am choosing to boycott something in Second Life. Let me know in the comments if you’re currently boycotting anything, and why!
KUMI IS HERE! It’s no surprise that Pink Fuel is my favorite skin brand on the grid, and overall my favorite “kawaii” brand — all of her other stuff is super cute too.
I know a ton of PF fans were annoyed that bloggers & friends received advanced copies, so I delayed posting this until the release of the skin. Now that Mochi is back, the skins are out, so go get ’em!!
With the release of Kumi, Pink Fuel also introduces 8 new skin tones! My favorite Pink Fuel tone was Honey, and now, it’s Peach. I normally wear Light Brows, but I’m really loving the Brown Brows and Dark Brows this time around, too. I’m wearing darker hair to complement the skin, but this skin also works perfectly well with any hair color.
Shown here is 6 of the 18 makeups available for this skin.
Check out the lipsticks on Mochi’s Flickr — there’s over 30+!!!! I like to mix-and-match the Pure (base) skin with my own shadows and lipstick tattoos, so having over 30+ new ones to play with is a makeup lover’s dream!
I was on a tattoo binge last week, and stumbled upon Sticky Kiss. Even though I don’t know where I’ll ever wear these, I just love how realistic they looked, and these would probably make for some fabulous action (falling off my bike type) photos!
I picked up two Bloody Knee tattoos, a stitches and a band-aid for the face. These are rather tame compared to some of the other stuff available from this brand. There’s also bloody noses, some bruises, and a couple of other things an RP’er might like.
I use to think that Campers were the worst theme. They only came with half the prims, half the land, and some random claustrophobic horse trailers. But I’ve recently changed my mind about campers… cos Chalet is now the worst theme. I’ll write about Chalets in another post, so let’s turn our attention back to campers.
